My Beauty...

I really get a kick out of my daughter. She loves to pose for me so I can do some pretty girly layouts. I mentioned to her that I needed some updated pictures of her, so she ran upstairs, combed her hair and came down with a pretty orange shirt on {along with black sports shorts and hot pink Crocks}. She gave me strict instructions NOT to photograph her from the waist down ~ lol!

For this page I used my new March Kit of the Month from Unity Stamp Co. ~ I love their images! The paper kits are from My Minds Eye, which is available from i{heart}papers. I LOVE THIS PAPER!

Supplies from i{heart}papers ~ My Minds Eye ~ Bloom & Grow Paper ; Ink ~ Palette (Burnt Sienna).

BIG News...

Look at this sweet elephant from Hero Arts ~ such a cute set. It's simply called Elephants! ~ I guess that's pretty clear huh? I love sentiments in the clear stamp sets because you can make them wavy or curved on your acrylic blocks. In this case, I took the sentiment and matched the curve of the oval ~ too fun! You'll have to run over to i{heart}papers and take a look at all the cute Hero Arts products and sets Kate has in stock.

Did you still want some BIG NEWS! Well it's the same news that I announced yesterday about my anniversary blog candy! Don't forget to leave some comments for your chance to win. Maybe tomorrow I'll give you a little tid-bit of what some of the packages are...

Here are the details from yesterday ~
I have FIVE BLOG CANDY PRIZE PACKAGES!!!! Woohooo!I have been blessed to have worked with so many great companies over the past few years. Therefore, I am going to share some fun products with you from those companies. In fact, Kate from i{heart}papers is going to donate some items for one of my packages. HOW COOL IS THAT?

What do you need to do? Here are the details: Just leave comments on my blog between now and 9pm (eastern time) on Saturday night (March 28th) to be entered, then I will randomly pick 5 winners. Please leave your name and make sure I can get in touch with you (email or blog address). I'll post the winners on Sunday ~ but you'll have to be patient because my daughter has volleyball on Sunady morning, so I may not get to it right away. Easy Peasy right? Good Luck!!

Trees with Texture!

I needed to make a quick card for a friend today; however, when I stamped the tree top, I felt like it was missing something. I thought about cutting it out and embossing it, but then I had a different idea. I embossed a piece of white cardstock with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder. I inked up my tree top image with dark green ink and then stamped it on the swiss dot embossing. Then I stamped it directly on the tree trunk ~ INSTANT TEXTURE!

EASY PEASY!

ETA: Check out this week's featured products ~ The French Floral Paper Pack & the Le Jardin Stamp set. Both are 20% off this week.

Inchie Friday ~ Volleyball All Stars!

HAPPY "INCHIE" FRIDAY!

Today I have a bright page to share of my daughter's 12th birthday party. We rented the gym at our high school and put up the volleyball nets so the girls could play a few games, shoot some hoops and play dodge ball. The party was in late December, so it was great that they could run around and play games! The party was a huge hit & we had a wonderful group of girls.

NOW, I have to say that I LOVE this Inchie cupcake! It matches Megan's birthday cupcakes perfectly! I also love all the borders on this page ~ stamped, scalloped and wavy! They all fit together so nicely.

So much went on at the party, that I found it difficult to only use 6 pictures. I wanted the focal points of the page to be the group picture at the top & the cupcake picture (because of the stamp). I always like my embellishments and the different components of the page coordinate to help the page flow. So I have scallops and cupcakes in multiple places on the page.

It's also an added bonus to have the embellishments coordinate with the photographs ~ which is why I love stamping on my pages.

Supplies Used: White Inchie Squares ~ Inchie Arts; Ink ~ Palette, Versamark, White Pigment Ink, Copics; Stamps ~ Lockhart Stamp Co & Hero Arts; Rub-ons ~ Making Memories; Punches ~ EK Success (wavy border) & SU (scallop edge & square); Nestabilities.

Product Review ~ My Cute Stamps!

I think it's high-time for some new toys and I've got the perfect stamps from MY CUTE STAMPS! The name is PERFECT because they are so darn CUTE! My friend Pine told me about them, so I just had to see for myself. Then my friend Mish ordered some sets too, so we decided that today we would all show our projects on our blogs. Go take a look and see the fun stuff the other girls have come up with!

My first set of projects is from a new set called Jelly Beans! My little bunny is all fuzzy with white flock and glittery with pink on the ears and nose! Look how perfect the tulip is with the pattern paper too ~ fun, fun, fun!
Other Supplies: Cardstock ~ SU & PTI; Pattern Paper ~ GCD Studios; Ink ~ Palette & Copics; Flock ~ Our Craft Lounge, Ribbon ~ PTI & May Arts; Nestabilities; Brads ~ Making Memories.

I had a blast making this second project because I love Paper Piecing. Pine ~ this one's for you! LOL! The set I used here is called Little Forest Friends, but there is so much in it.

Other Supplies: Cardstock ~ SU; Pattern Paper ~ October Afternoon; Ribbon ~ SU & PTI; Ink ~ Palette, Copics; Punch ~ Martha Stewart Crafts; Button ~ SEI.

For my next card, I used vellum to get a mirror image of the little bee. I stamped it on one side, then turned the vellum over and stamped it again. Then I colored the little bees on the back and added glitter to the wings on the front.

Other Supplies: Cardstock ~ PTI, SU; Ink ~ SU pigment ink, Copics; Nestabilities; Punch ~ EK Success; Clear embossing powder; Cuttlebug embossing folder ~ swiss dot; Ribbon ~ CTMH.

Put your sunglasses on for this next card ~ it's BRIGHT! I pulled out some pretty Papertrey Ink colors for this one. I stamped the stems directly on the white cardstock, and then stamped the flowers on another piece and cut them out. I love the polka-dot buttons in the flowers! I used the following sets on this card ~ Hello Doodle, Spunky Nature, and You're Tweet!

Other Supplies: Cardstock ~ PTI, SU; Ink ~ Versamark, Palette, SU, PTI; Grass Trim ~ Doodlebug; Ribbon ~ May Arts; Buttons ~ Doodlebug.

My last card is a simple little card using the set You're Tweet! I just love the little birds in this one.

Other Supplies: Cardstock ~ SU, PTI; Ink ~ SU Pigment ink; Sparkly Fluff ~ Our Craft Lounge; Nestabilities; Ribbon ~ SU; Buttons ~ Autumn Leaves; Cuttlebug Embossing Folder ~ swiss dot; Scallop edge punch ~SU.

As you can tell, I'm having a great time playing with these new stamps ~ I give them two thumbs up! I have several more sets that I haven't even played with yet, so stay tuned for more!
