Project Life: Adventures in Barcelona {part 2}

Today I continue our adventures in Barcelona with a visit to the very colorful Park Guell which includes many amazing mosaic and buildings.  And the views from above are fantastic!!

One of my favorite things about Barcelona (and particularly this park) were all of the beautiful mosiacs.  I can't imagine how long that would have taken to construct.

And another stop to view the city from above!

Tomorrow I'll have our last pages from Spain.  Have a wonderful day!

Project Life: Adventures in Barcelona {part 1}

Hi Friends!  I'm back today with some of my Project Life App pages & my Moments ~ #onelittleword project.  These pictures are from our wonderful vacation a few years ago.  Last week I shared pages from our wonderful time in London and this week, we move on to Barcelona, Spain!  What a wonderful & very colorful city... not only with the people but the architecture.

We arranged for a guide to take us around the city & show us the sites!
{click on the page below to read the journaling}

So much to see and do in the city!

Something completely new and different around each corner.

This was a gorgeous church ~ inside and out!

 I'll be back tomorrow with more from this amazing city!

Have a Blessed Day!

Project Life: London Calling Part 2...

Anyone up for more adventures?  Today I'm sharing more Project Life App pages and continuing our journey in London.  London Calling Part 1 and the rest of my pages can be found HERE.  So here's more from my Moments ~ #onelittleword project!

One of our favorite things we did in London was going on the London Eye!  The cool "bubble" was tons of fun and a perfect way to see the city.  I love these photos of our family and the middle one on this page cracks me up ~ that guy was totally making a face at me!  LOL!

Such a huge structure ~ and so much fun!

Several views of Big Ben...

and a wonderful tour of Westminster Abbey!

A visit to London isn't complete without going to Buckingham Palace!

The next day, June 13th, we got on a plane for Barcelona and had a brief stop in Germany.  New country... gotta take pictures {even if you are only in the airport}.

I hope you are enjoying our journey and my Project Life App pages.  This project has given me great joy & I'm so pleased to get it done.  I sent in my pages for printing to Persnikity Prints last Friday and they arrived on Monday!  They are beautiful and already in an album.  I just need to add a few pages of memorabilia and it will be complete!!

Gina K ~ Handmade Botanicals Inspiration Hop

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous blog hop celebrating a new incentive stamp set by Gina K called Handmade Botanicals. We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs!

Enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win an awesome GKD gift certificate!  To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop.

Here is my card for today, I also have a tutorial to share... so keep scrolling down to see how I used my Spectrum Aqua Markers on this card.

Step 1: Using the Olive Spectrum Aqua Marker, add color directly from the marker to the Handmade Botanicals image.

Step 2: Using the Moss Spectrum Aqua Markers, add ink from the marker to the edges of each leaf and to the center stem of the image.

Step 3: Using a spray bottle of water, lightly mist some water on the colored stamp.
Step 4: Stamp the image on Spectrum Noir Watercolor paper.

Step 5: Repeat steps 1-4 two more times.

Step 6: Using a water brush, lightly blend the colors on each leaf.

Step 7: Using large sticky notes, mask the areas on each side of the stamped images.  Then using the Frame & Filler background stamp, ink in a light color and randomly stamp the image for some texture.  Note: It is important to do this step last after the image is dry so the ink doesn't smear from the water.

Here's a close up of the leaf images with the background.

Project Life: London Calling Part 1...

Hi Friends!  It's finally Friday and I've decided it's time for a little trip to one of my favorite travel destinations... LONDON!!!  Here are some more layouts I made using the Project Life App ~ I can't stop using the PL App... seriously!  It's so much fun & so fast!  I've made 77 layouts and I'm getting ready to send them off to print... fingers crossed that they turn out great!

On our second day of our trip, we made our way via the Underground to the city of London.  We took a bus tour on the big red double deck bus & it was so gorgeous outside that we could sit on top and enjoy the lovely city!

Just a few of our pretty sights!

We went across the Tower Bridge... what an amazing view!

After the bus tour, we made our way to the Tower of London to see the grounds
and The Crown Jewels!

Project Life: Winsor Castle

Hi Friends!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend and were able to enjoy some family time.  We had a great family week while my daughter was home from school & I had more time to get some Project Life App pages done for my Moments ~ #onelittleword goal.   I began last week by sharing pages from the end of our trip and now I'm going to start at the beginning... which means our first stop of the trip ~ Winsor & London.

Normally when you think of London, images of cloudy and rainy days fill your mind.  However, while we were there, we had bright sunny days with perfect temps in the 70's.  We couldn't have asked for better weather.  Our trip began on June 10, 2014... which just happened to be my son Matt's 15th birthday! This first page is my favorite of the bunch!  {To read the journaling, click on the page to enlarge}

We didn't spend much time in the city of Winsor, but what we saw was charming!

Out and about the grounds of Winsor Castle
I highly recommend the taking the time to visit

The kids drum major salutes ~ set & ready for duty!

Completely breathtaking in every direction!

Views of the cities around the castle

And there we have day #1 of the trip.  I can't wait to share London pictures later this week.
