{JOY} ~ Only Little Word April Prompt

Hello Friends! I've been working on lots of different projects, but I've been remiss about posting here. To be honest, I'm not sure many people even read my blog anymore, but I like having a place to find things, so I'll post now and then.

Right now One Little Word is probably my most meaningful projects. I LOVE IT! For this month's activity, Ali sent us a journaling prompt each Monday morning. This was a fun one! The themes were: I Am... ; I Give Myself Permission... ; I am Learning... ; and, I Feel Most Alive When...

{JOY} ~ One Little Word March Prompt

Hello Friends! It's a brand new day and yipeee... another day closer to real spring weather. Yesterday, I found a few hours to wrap up my March One Little Word prompt & thought I'd share my photos with you. The prompt for March was to practice something each day. Since it's been a rough few months for me, I decided to totally indulge myself with self-care and do crafting things that bring me JOY each and every day! GUESS WHAT? I did something every day in March and I noticed my positive mental attitude was so much better!  Remember that it's OK to do things just because they make you happy!

{JOY} ~ One Little Word January & February Prompts

Today I wanted to share my One Little Word pages with you for the last few months. I managed to finish up the January pages in the morning of the day that I fell and broke my hip!

For my pages this year, I have decided to go with a combination of Ali Edwards products and Felicity Jane kits. I love the florals in the Felicity Jane kits & the OLW products from Ali... so I think they will work well together.

For the February prompt, I included my vision board inside my album again this year.

Marching Band ~ More Pocket Pages!

Happy Friday!  I was looking through my blog the other day and noticed this post in my drafts folder & realized I never finished up posting my son's band pages from Junior year. And... I still have all of Senior year to share as well. I guess I should get busy!

For these pages, I used an assortment of supplies from various kits I had on hand ~ Ali Edwards story kits, Hip Kit Club, Elle's Studio, and Felicity Jane.

One Little Word ~ July & August Prompts

Hello My Friends!

Today I'm sharing my One Little Word Prompts for July & August. These prompts were challenging because I've had some struggles with my journey this year. It's been such a big year of change for our family & even though you know it's coming, it's still hard. I've included a lot of "this is where my heart is" stuff in these pages.

One Little Word ~ April, May & June

Hello There!

I looked at my One Little Word label of my blog and realized I hadn't posted any pages since my March prompt. I am so happy with how this album is coming out this year. I am being very intentional about sticking with the same colors and doing minimal pages for each month.

For April, the prompt was the Post-It challenge. Putting questions on post-it notes and placing them where you will see them each day. I transferred my questions to these fun stitched circles and added my answers on the Reflections card.

During the month of May, we were prompted to take 8 photos from the month and document the moments. It was a great month for that since both kids were graduating and moving on to their summer adventures. There were lots of activities going on!

For the month of June, the prompt was all about documenting how the project is progressing with our word so far this year. June was a hard month for me with lots of ups and downs... so my thoughts and reflections were all based on those feelings. It is what it is... sometimes it just isn't fun & that's what this project is all about.

{Embrace} ~ One Little Word March Prompt

Hello Crafty Peeps!  Today I wanted to share with you my completed pages for the One Little Word March Prompt.  The prompt was to come up with something related to your word that you could complete each day.  One of the goals with my word is to embrace the changes happening in my world this year. In order to embrace these changes, I need to trust and have faith that God is leading me every step of the way. This means I need to be reading my bible daily.  My sister introduced me to this awesome App that I pulled up on my tablet each day called First 15. I was very pleased that I completed this devotional each day for the month!

Here's how I documented the month...

Ali Edwards Story Kits ~ Junior Year Band

Hello Friends!  Over the last 4 months, I've been working hard to finish up my son's band albums for Junior and Senior year. I've also been very intentional about using products I have... especially my Ali Edwards Story Kits. In addition to the Story Kits, I have lots of Ali's digital cards, so I printed lots of those as well.  Here are a few of the pages I made with these kits to finish up his junior year.

This page features the Time Story Kit along with my favorite little black sticker letters.

This page features the Details Story Kit and the title card is from the This & That digital kit.

This page features cards I printed form the Digital package called Great Story with chipboard embellishments from the Best and Lost & Found Story Kits.

And the cards from this last page features cards & chipboard embellishments from the Best & Lens Story Kits.

 Thanks for stopping by today!

AE Story Kits ~ Today's Details!

Happy Friday Crafty Friends!  Since I've been so hit and miss with posting lately, I thought I'd load up this blog post with several pages from my son's junior year 2016 marching band season.  I'm so happy that I was able to finish up all of his junior year & have now started on his senior year.

For my first page, I used several items from the Ali Edwards Details Story Kit & Story Stamp, as well as one of the cards from All the Love kit & embellishments from the Time Story kit.

This next page features Ali Edwards digital journaling cards from the Best, Drive & the Go Story Kits.  I changed the colors in Photoshop Elements to match my page.  I also used embellishments I had left from the Week in the Life & December Daily projects.

The next double page spread features items from the Surprise Story Kit along with some embellishments from the Bond & Give kits.

And my last page for today features products from the Fun Story kit & some really old sticker letters I had in my stash.

Enjoy Your Day!

{Embrace} One Little Word ~ February Prompt

Today I worked on the One Little Word prompt for February. This month's activity involved making a vision board for our word. Once again this year, I decided to put the page right in my album rather than make a larger canvas for my wall. I'm trying to live my word more this year, but document it a bit less then last year.

I found a new-to-me magazine at the store a few weeks ago and the gorgeous pink flowers on the cover really spoke to me so I flipped through it. It is called Life:Beautiful and it is a really nice publication ~ and at $5.99, it didn't break the bank either.  I also used a few phrases from an Ulta store advertisement as well as the February card & phrase stickers from the Ali Edwards One Little Word kit.

Enjoy You Day & Embrace the Journey!

Ali Edwards Story Kit ~ Celebrate Together

Hello Friends!  I've been working like crazy to get my son's junior year band album done so I can get started on senior year.  Well ... GUESS WHAT?  Over the weekend I finished his last few pages.  I'm super excited!!  I do a full album (like 100 layouts) for each school year.  I stated this madness when my daughter was a freshman and I'm determined to finish before my son graduates ~ that is a total of 8 super full albums!

Today it was actually sunny outside, so I took some pictures using natural light. To be honest, I'm not really sure it is any better then the light box I have set up in my basement.  These pocket pages are incredibly time consuming to photograph, so I'm not even going to try taking photos in the light box to see if they are better.

So anyway.... I wanted to share a few pages I made using the Ali Edwards Story Kit called For the Love.  It is a fun kit with lots of great journaling cards and embellishments.   I also added some coordinating supplies from older Story Kits here and there.

I love having the digital versions of the Story Kits because I can add my journaling in Photoshop Elements and then print them out like I did on the top left card on the page below.

Ali Edwards Story Kits ~ Marching Band Events

Welcome to a new week!  I didn't get a chance to get a blog post done yesterday, so I'll share 2 layouts with you today. I decided for both of these double layouts, that I wanted to go a bit minimal on the embellishments.  I had lots of photos from both Regionals and Semi-State, and wanted to include as many of them as I could.

For this first layout, I used journaling cards from the Ali Edwards Details Story Kit & digital stamps from the Drive Story Stamp. For the "Heart of the Matter" card, I changed the color of the letters to red, to coordinate with all the red in the photos and the theme of the show {Defence.les/Heart}.  On the Story Details card, I added journaling under the photo and added a pull tab.

For my Semi-State page, I again had tons of photos and wanted to include so many.  I used the grey tear-apart phrases from the 2017 Week in the Life kit with stars from the Best Story Kit.  I also used a journaling card from the digital version of the Best Story Kit.  Using Photoshop Elements, I changed the color of the star on the card to purple to match the title card & the background color to white from cream.

Ali Edwards Fun Story Kit ~ Grand Opening

As you can tell from my blog posts this week, I've been working on my son's band book quite a bit. I decided to pull out all of my Ali Edwards Story Kits and get them used up. I am making a huge dent in them and having a blast!

For this page, I used the Fun & Best Story Kits. In addition to the physical kits, I also have the digital version. Often times, I'll use the digital jounaling cards to add text, but for this page, I changed the colors on some of the cards in Photoshop Elements. I changed some of the colors of the stars to red so it would match my page and I changed the Awesome card to red as well.
