Project 52 ~ Week #33

Hi There Friends!  Today I have my next page from my Project 52 Album for Week #33.  This page is a little less band heavy and a little more... well... miscellaneous.  Haha!  Last week was the start of the school year for my son & his it's his senior year!  ACK!  When did that happen!

I used the Project Life App for the page with the Personal Yearbook Mini Kit and the Hello Lovely Edition.  I don't usually mix kits, but I couldn't find a card for the lower left photo that I liked.  I also used a few photo overlays from the Project 52 Edition Photo Overlays kit.

Have a Wonderful Week!

Project Life ~ The Solar Eclipse

Happy Day After the Eclipse!

Yesterday we viewed the solar eclipse with our favorite marching band.  It was so much fun watching the kids reaction to the event.  {Yes, they all had the specially approved glasses}.  I made my page using the Project Life App and a free Solar Eclipse download from Elle's Studio.

Have a Great Day!

One Little Word ~ August Prompt

Hello Peeps!  Last week I was able to get some time to catch up on my One Little Word prompts & it felt great to get back into my studio.  Fingers crossed that I can get in there again this week to create some layouts!

This month Ali Edwards challenged us to print just 3 photos ~ one about where we are right now, one about what we are celebrating, and one about what we are struggling with.   At the moment, this chapter is all about band; I'm celebrating a great relationship with my son; and I'm struggling to get into my studio.  The other big struggle is staying in the moment so I can enjoy each little thing during Matt's senior year.

In addition to those 3 photos, I found several things on Pinterest meant to inspire me with my struggles this month. I printed those as well as my prompt card for this month, the August Actions card, and the August Reflections card.

I'm pretty happy with my pages for the August Prompt & excited that I carved out time to finish work on them!

Happy Eclipse Day!

One Little Word ~ July 2017

I know you didn't expect to see me again this week ~ SURPRISE!  This morning I finished my July Prompt for the Ali Edwards One Little Word workshop and I wanted to share my pages.

The prompt for July was to express your personal manifesto by creating a mixed media piece of encouraging reminders.  I started out as I usually do, with a printed graphics that I found on Pinterest.

Next I added my Action card for the month and my mixed media piece.  Since I didn't have any stencils and paint, I used an embossing folder and white ink.  Then I added my messages with alphabet stamps.

For the next page, I added my Reflections card and more positive messages form Pinterest graphics and another stamped card.

I love the prompt this month, but I'll be honest that the cards I made didn't really come out like I would have hoped.  However, they are done & I'm just going to be OK with that because it's the message that really matters.

Have a great weekend!

Project 52 ~ Week #32

This summer has been a whirlwind of activities for our entire family.  Matt had his final full week of summer and along with several band practices, managed to fit in a visit to Western Michigan for a trombone lesson and some flight lessons.

For this page in my Project 52 album, I used the Project Life kit called Honey.  It is in the App & I love the cute cameras on these cards.  I thought they were perfect to go along with the pictures from the formal photo night for band.

I'm hoping to get into my craft studio this week and create.  It's been months since I've had time to do anything other than my Project 52 album.  Wish me luck!!

Project 52 ~ Week #31

Hello Friends!

My page for last week centers around the band's prep and the Indiana State Fair track show last Saturday.  Each summer our band performs a goofy summer show, either at Cedar Point or the State Fair.  This year they dressed as carrots with the color guard as rabbits and performed the song 24 "Carrot" Magic.

The cards for this page were from the Awesome Edition card kit.  I love how the colors on the cards coordinate with the photos this week!

Have a Wonderful Day!

Project 52 ~ Week #30

Hey There Friends!  We are still knee deep in Summer Band, but I did manage to take a few picture of other fun things going on ... like 4H projects, the 4H parade, a fun concert at the fair and a shopping day with my daughter.  We live in Elkhart County (Indiana) and have the second largest county fair in the country (after San Diego). In fact, our county fair is larger than most of the state fairs in the country.

I used the new Sandlot Card Collection in the App and love the bright colors.  I kind of wish there were more cards in this collection because they are so fun.

Have a Fabulous Weekend!
