Dancing in the Rain

Awwww...It's Monday!  A new week & boy am I ready for it.  Actually, I'm ready for the kids to be in school for an entire week and full days!  They have had so many delays, cancellations and vacation days over the last 3 weeks that I'm having a hard time getting everything done during the day!

My project today uses a cute little set from Lizzie Anne Designs called Spring Rain ~ I AM READY FOR SPRING!   It's appropriate for today since we actually had thurderstorms last night & it's raining today. I paired my images up with the floral paper from Jillibean Soup ~ super cute!  I entered this card for the Clean & Simple DT search last week over on SCS, but I didn't make it past the first round.  Maybe it wasn't clean & simple enough ~ lol!  Oh well...I love the card anyway...

Have a great Monday!

OCL Peeks ... Day #2!

It's day #2 of the OCL Sneak Peeks!  OH YEA ~ Don't you just LOVE when new products appear in Blog Land?   You are going to FLIP when you see this cool new set called Pins & Needles!   This set was also designed by Debbie Corbari.

For my first project, I had to use this adorable paper by Cosmo Cricket called Material Girl ~ it's perfect!  I also HAD to add machine stitching, pinking sheer edges and buttons ~ what else could possibly say sewing better than those items.

For my next project I did some paper piecing on my cute little tags and attached them to tubes of ribbon, buttons, and a measuring tape.  It's a fun little gift for the crafty girls in your life.

Now here's the deal!  We will be giving away blog candy on each of the participating blogs on Saturday, but any comments you leave now through Saturday at midnight (Pacific time) will all count toward the blog candy drawing.  PLEASE make sure you leave a contact email or you are signed into blogger (with contact info in your blogger profile).  If we can't get in touch with you as a blog candy winner, we will need to redraw winners.

Check out the OCL Blog today for pictures of the remaining 11 sets & then make sure you hop around and see what all of the other talented ladies have come up with them!

Time for some OCL PEEKS!!!!

GUESS WHAT????  It's time for new stamps from Our Craft Lounge ~ WOOHOOO!  I can't even tell you how happy I am to be able to show you all the samples I've been working on for the past few months!  I was so busy working with pre-release stuff, I was getting desperate for cards to post here on my blog!

So for my sneaky peek today, I used a set called Tea Time and it's sooooooooo stinkin' CUTE!  My sweet friend Debbie Corbari designed this fabulous set last year & I've been bugging Cami to get it out ever since I first saw it!

I found some fun little Sweetheart Cinnamon tea bags at the store a few weeks ago and when I saw they were pink, I knew I wanted to pull out my cute pink polka-dot mugs for the photos.  I made a little heart-shaped tea bag tag to go along with the paper-pieced card.

Next, I had to include a tea bag inside the card, so I added some of the matching pattern paper and a cute little sentiment form the set to finish it off.

Time for a new class ...

Howdy Peeps!
Today the project I'm sharing is actually a class I'm doing tonight at my local scrapbook store.  It's called More Memories in New Paris, IN.  I have a regular group of lovely ladies that come craft with me each month & I think they are pretty excited to make this little purse tonight.

I used the set called Tweet Thang by Our Craft Lounge and paired it up with some fabulous pattern paper from My Minds Eye called Fine & Dandy (Tickled Pink).

Valentine Photos

Sadly, I find that I don't have a project to show you today.  Believe me when I say, I have been crazy busy stamping for the past month or so; however, I can't show them to you just yet.  BUT...this week I will!  WOOHOOO!

So today I thought I'd share a few photos with you from Valentine's Day.

LAD DT Challenge: Inspired by Lizzie....

Post #2 for today ~ scroll down for more Friday fun...

Today at Lizzie Anne Designs, we are having a Design Team Challenge.  This month we needed to find a card in the LAD Sketchbook from another designer & use the layout of the card.  I found this sweet card by Tricia (Lizzie) using the 2011 Winter Mix - Lucky in Love ~  Here's what I came up with...

I used the fun little Sixlet set called Dare to be Fabulous!  I used basically the same layout; however, I had to put the dress cutout on a mat because it got lost on the card.

Over on the LAD Blog, you can check out what the other girls were up to for this challenge and who inspired their projects...

OCL Challenge #53 Photo Inspiration

Post #1 for the day ~ stay tuned for one more!

It's Friday and time for another new challenge from the OCL Blog.  Today we have Photo Inspiration Challenge and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for it.

I had a blast thinking "outside the box" for this card.  I had this fantastic pattern paper from Basic Grey (Marjolaine) that matched the color palette perfectly!  Then I started pulling out stamp sets.  I knew I wanted to use the flowers from Pretty Petals, and then ended up using images from Butterfly Kisses (word background), Vintage Swirls (leaf background) and Spring Sketches (sentiment).  I love how everything tied together so well.

Make sure you share your link on the OCL Blog so we can ohhhh and ahhhh over your wonderful project!

Supplies Used:
Stamps ~ Our Craft Lounge (Pretty Petals, Butterfly Kisses, Vintage Swirls, Spring Sketches)
Pattern Paper ~ Basic Grey (Marjolaine)

Clean & Simple Day

Yesterday I had a very long To Do list so I thought I'd try a super simple card ~ I kind of like it!  I used the Dandy Days set by Our Craft Lounge.

Well I'm off to work on more of my list ~ have a DANDY day!

Hip to be square!

I made a super quick 15 minute card yesterday using this week's Lizzie Anne sketch challenge.  I love the pattern paper by My Mind's Eye (Find & Dandy - True Blue).  I used the new Number Block Single from Lizzie Anne for the background and the sentiment is from the Tweens and Teens Little Bits set.

You can see the sketch on the Lizzie Anne Blog and if you want to play along, don't forget to post your link on the LAD Facebook Page.

i{heart}papers ... Challenge Day

Well...there's a story behind this post...LITERALLY!  Our challenge for today is to make a project based on a story.   The book I selected was the classic fairytale ~ Cinderella.   My project is all about the last line of the story, "...and they lived happily ever after."  ~ which means there was a wedding at the end of the story!

So with the story picked, I decided to make a wedding ensemble.  I started by pulling out the stamp set by Our Craft Lounge called Bird & Groom.  I also pulled out some pattern paper by Basic Grey called Kioshi.   I usually plan out my projects out, but this time I just started putting things together to see where it would go.  I have to be honest...this isn't what I was picturing in my head.   The color palette is a bit odd for a wedding ~ but the pattern paper & the gift box really started to dictate the direction of the projects and I just went with it.

Here is a little table favor for guests or a gift box for the bride and groom.  The sentiment is from the Bird & Groom stamp set.  I didn't have any ribbon that matched Kioshi pattern paper, so I used some white May Arts ribbon and colored it with my V15 Copic marker ~ perfect match!

Next up is the wedding invitation ~ I printed it out on the computer on the Kraft cardstock and then stamped the church image in Palette Lavendar Sachet ink on the background.  I added another pattern of the Kioshi pattern paper pad to the top and more colored ribbon.

Next up are some simple post-card thank you notes for the bride and groom.  I added a bit of Punk Purple Sparkly Fluff to the Bird & Groom stamped images to add texture and make them POP.

I can't wait to see what all the other girls did with this challenge ~ go take a look and don't forget to leave a little love along the way...

happy {hearts} day!

Today's the day ~ the last day to post fun Valentine creations.  Well, actually...I may have another one or two because of some things I have planned for later today.  We'll see....

My cute little tags today are for my kids Valentine's Day bags ~ just a few little odd and ends.  I love how the tags came out & they were so EASY PEASY!

I started out with a tag die cut and layered some pre-made Martha Stewart felt hearts.  Then I stamped the sentiments from OCL's Sending Love & Notes of Love stamp sets.   I finished the tags off with some Red Gems from Kaiser Crafts, Valentine mini-clothespins from Michael's, and some fabulous trim I found in my Valentine box.

Hope you have some fun Valentine plans today!

A little bit of this and that...

Today's card uses some of the cute Fancy Pants pattern paper called Love Birds.  It was such a cute pattern, I wanted to use it for the main focus of the card.  I added a sentiment from the Tweet Trees set by Our Craft Lounge and some Sparkly Fluff in Rockstar Red & Baby Boy Blue.

Groovy Sketch

This week I made a Groovy card using the Lizzie Anne Weekly Sketch.  I used the new Tweens & Teens Little Bits stamp set along with some fun paper by Reminisce called Unwritten ~ gotta love the peace signs!  I did change the location of the sentiment on the sketch, but otherwise, I stayed true to it.

If you want to play along, add your link to the Lizzie Anne Facebook page so we can see what you came up with.

Everything Paris...

Wow ~ Paris is so Très Chic right now, have you noticed?  The new vintage set by Lizzie Anne Designs called Bonjour is such a cool set & I just LOVE it paired up with the October Afternoon pattern paper (The Thrift Shop).   I seem to be grabbing this paper a lot ~ no, I don't have an endless supply.  I'll use it up one of these days.  LOL!

Just Playing...

Yesterday I decided to play with some new stamps I purchased last week.  It's been a long time since I bought new stamps or made something that wasn't for a design team project.  It has also been a really long time since I did any scrapbooking!  So....I thought I'd have a little fun with all of that!

I found this super fun pattern paper from Fancy Pants with the bike preprinted on the bottom to get my project started and then I added the fabulous stamped images from There She Goes Clear Stamps to add embellishments and backgrounds as well as the title to the page!   The stamp set I used is simply called LOVE.   This really didn't turn out to be my normal clean and simple style.  It's kind of busy... I don't know, what do you think?

Here is a close up of the title block and hanging hearts next to my beautiful girl.

Supplies Used:

Stamps ~ There She Goes Clear Stamps (LOVE Stamp set)
Cardstock ~ Bazzill
Pattern Paper ~ Fancy Pants
Ink ~ Palette
Gems ~ Kaiser
Twine ~ Divine Twine
Nestabilities ~ Labels Four

Terrific Trims

I'm kind of liking this cool card that I made using the new Timeless Textures set by Lizzie Anne Designs.  This set is so versatile!  It can be used for backgrounds, to decorate punched shapes or the main focus of the card.  I also paired this card up with the Perfect Phrases sets ~ another must have!

Valentine Gift Bags

Happy Monday Everyone!

I was shopping a few weeks ago at Michael's and found these cute Valentine bags and heart clips and the ideas on how to use them immediately started going through my head.  So I purchased the clips (bag of 6) for $1 along with 6 of the bags ($.59 each) ~ cheap and oh so cute!

I used the Hearts and Hugs set from Our Craft Lounge along with the Notes of Love set that is just filled with adorable sentiments for someone you love.  Although both sets are great for Valentine's Day, they are perfect for any occasion filled with LOVE ~ anniversaries, weddings, or just a mushy love note.

Here's a close up of the tag & clip.

Cupcake Wishes ...

Happy Ground Hogs Day!  You know what Punxsutawney Phil is gonna see today ~ NOTHING!  It's a blizzard out there.  Are you snowed in too?  We are having a blizzard in the midwest & schools are closed today.  I think it's gonna be a jammie day ~ woohooo ~ and we are gonna celebrate with CUPCAKES!!!!   I saw an adorable cupcake on the February cover of Cards Magazine and just HAD TO make one!

I used the new sentiment set from Lizzie Anne Designs called Perfect Phrases and I just love it.  That will be a set I pick up over and over because it is...PERFECT!  You can see all of the new Lizzie Anne sets that came out yesterday on the New Release page of the website.

Stay warm and safe out there!

New Release Day for LAD!

It's here ~ the newly released sets are now available at Lizzie Anne Designs.  In addition to all the sets we've shown you the last few days, today I can also show you the two new singles for February!

The first single is called Number Block.  I used it along the bottom of the card and again on the main image.  I stamped it again in orange and then cut out the number I wanted to highlight on the card.  I also used the "Look Who's Turning" sentiment from the December '09 Mix Club set called Celebrate.  I stamped the numbers in VersaMark ink in the background on that as well.  The perfectly matching pattern paper is from My Mind's Eye ~ Fine and Dandy Collection (True Blue).

My next card uses the Funky Happy Birthday single.  This sentiment matches the new Tweens & Teens Little Bits set perfectly, but I decided to use it on it's own this time.  I took border strips from the super HIP Unwritten Collection by Reminisce.

You can see all of the new sets on the Lizzie Anne website under New Release starting today!  And don't forget to take a look at all the fun samples by the Lizzie Anne Designers.
