{Explore} One Little Word ~ June Prompt

So don't fall off your chair, but I'm back again with another post today!  I took some time yesterday to finish up my One Little Word prompt for the month of June.  The OLW workshop is another project that I don't want to get behind on because I know that if I do, I may not go back and finish.  I also feel like this is a project that needs to be done each month just for me.

For the first page, I pulled a graphic off Pinterest and printed it on my photo printer, then I printed the "JUN" button from the OLW digital package.  The "In-Progress" pages, are the June downloads for the workshop.  I typed up my responses in Photoshop and printed them on kraft cardstock.  Then I stamped the "Keep Moving Forward" from the OLW Icon Stamp set and the camera image from the Lens Story Stamp in Poppy Ink (Stampin' Up).

For my next few pages, after they were printed, I added stamped phrases from the OLW Icons & OLW Messy Circles sets, as well as the Brave & Lens Story Stamps.  The card with the big heart is from the Brave Story Kit.

On my final pages of the June prompt, I printed off my Actions & Reflections cards and added stamped phrases from the Icons stamp set.  I also printed two photos that I pulled off Pinterest.  The "You Can Do It" is from the OLW June downloads.

Woohooo!  Another OLW monthly prompt it finished and even though I had a few setbacks with my OLW goals this month, I gave myself a pep talk and I'm ready to move forward.

Project 52 ~ Week #25

Welcome to another Wednesday!  Is your summer schedule all wacky too?  My motto this summer is... "Everyday is a new adventure".  Usually, I thrive on routine and To Do Lists, but this summer, I don't have a list or a plan for each day ~ and that is totally not me!  But soon enough (like in 2 weeks), my son's last year of marching band will start and my schedule will begin fall in place as my last year of lead band mom.  So for now, I'm just going to enjoy the break!

Today's Project 52 page features a few more pictures of my finished floors and the rooms getting back to normal.  However, I've already added a few things to the rooms, put up some photos and changed out the rugs (I seem to change things daily).  Matt had his last Jazz gig for the year this past weekend and it was fabulous to hear this group play, one more time. Then he finished his 4H Shooting Sports Trophy shoot that afternoon.

Have a Great Day!

Project 52 ~ Week #24

The reality of renovation... dirt, dust, and mess EVERYWHERE!  Yup... that's what my days were like was this past week & the subject of this week's Project 52 page.  On Monday during demo day, I thought I might actually lose my mind because the noise level was so bad and you could actually see a cloud of dust inside the house.  I was so thankful for the RV where we could keep the dogs in a cool place, a quiet place to get away, and use the stove/fridge for cooking meals.  We ended up eating lunch in there everyday and a few nights for dinner as well because the kitchen was so torn up.  We also set up a TV spot in our sunroom so we could chill out in the evenings.  I am so thankful this phase of our remodel is finished and we are able to start getting the house put back together.  Once everything is back in place in the rest of the house, our next project is removing the dining room wallpaper and paint.  Then replacing the carpet on the stairs and hallway & the sunroom.  Once those things are done, our first floor should be finished & we'll move to the second floor updates.

For my page this week, I documented the transformation of our flooring using the DIY kit and the Maggie Holmes Open Book kit.  I thought the cards were perfect for the subject.

Project 52 ~ Week #23

Last week was an exciting week for my kids & I'm so happy I was able to document it in my Project 52 album.  My daughter spent the last two weeks in Germany, Austria and Paris for one of her college classes.  She said it was the best 3 credit class EVER!  :)  My son started a new journey in aviation to become a pilot & he celebrated his 18th birthday!

As for me and my husband, we had a 3 day garage sale (which I will never do again) and we cleaned out the house to get ready for new flooring that started this past Monday ~ that was not nearly as exciting!  Next week's page will cover all of that madness!

For this week's page, I used the Wander Kit in the Project Life App.  I thought it was perfect for these photos of my daughter's trip and my son's flight.

Things have been super quiet here on my blog because as we work on this home renovation project, I have zero time to work on any pages other than my Project 52.  Don't worry, things will calm down soon ... I hope!

Thanks for stopping by today and hanging in there with me until I find a bit more time to work on more pages.

Project 52 ~ Week #22

Hi Friends!  Welcome to Wednesday & another page from my Project 52 album!  This week I used the Project Life App with the Charming Edition Kit.  Normally for the subject of these photos I would have done something a bit more amusement park themed; however, since our wedding anniversary was on June 3rd, I decided to stick with the floral theme because I really liked the title card the the "I Love You" card.

Spring Break 2013 ~ Our Family

Hello Friends & Happy Monday!  I've been a little quiet over here on my blog lately because life has been soooooooo busy and I haven't had a chance to scrapbook in about a month!   We are currently working on a big renovation project at our home and while I'm super excited about it, it is also very time consuming.  This week I am packing up my entire first floor and moving it into other areas of the house as we get ready for new flooring.  What a job!  And everything takes 3x longer then you think it should.  But it's all good stuff & I can't wait to see how everything comes together.

Until I get back into my studio to create more pages, I do have a few left from our Spring Break 2013 Album that I haven't posted yet.  For these pages I used the Simple Stories Heart Mini Collection.  Super simple pages for sure highlighting a few of the portraits taken by the ship photographer.

and a photo of the whole crew...

Thanks for stopping by today &
for hanging in there with my spotty posts.

Project 52 ~ Week #21

Hello My Crafty Friends!  Sorry I've been quiet here this week, but it's been super busy around here with the end of the school year, house guests, a quick trip to Cedar Point, and house renovations. No wonder I haven't had any time to scrapbook lately!

Today I thought I'd share my latest Project 52 page for week #21.  Thank goodness I can at least stay caught up with this project since I use the Project Life App.  I used the September Skies kit for this page.

Well... I'm off to make a batch of graduation cards.  Wish me luck... I haven't made any cards since December.  YIKES!  Have a wonderful day!
