Project 52 ~ Week #24

The reality of renovation... dirt, dust, and mess EVERYWHERE!  Yup... that's what my days were like was this past week & the subject of this week's Project 52 page.  On Monday during demo day, I thought I might actually lose my mind because the noise level was so bad and you could actually see a cloud of dust inside the house.  I was so thankful for the RV where we could keep the dogs in a cool place, a quiet place to get away, and use the stove/fridge for cooking meals.  We ended up eating lunch in there everyday and a few nights for dinner as well because the kitchen was so torn up.  We also set up a TV spot in our sunroom so we could chill out in the evenings.  I am so thankful this phase of our remodel is finished and we are able to start getting the house put back together.  Once everything is back in place in the rest of the house, our next project is removing the dining room wallpaper and paint.  Then replacing the carpet on the stairs and hallway & the sunroom.  Once those things are done, our first floor should be finished & we'll move to the second floor updates.

For my page this week, I documented the transformation of our flooring using the DIY kit and the Maggie Holmes Open Book kit.  I thought the cards were perfect for the subject.

Project 52 ~ Week #23

Last week was an exciting week for my kids & I'm so happy I was able to document it in my Project 52 album.  My daughter spent the last two weeks in Germany, Austria and Paris for one of her college classes.  She said it was the best 3 credit class EVER!  :)  My son started a new journey in aviation to become a pilot & he celebrated his 18th birthday!

As for me and my husband, we had a 3 day garage sale (which I will never do again) and we cleaned out the house to get ready for new flooring that started this past Monday ~ that was not nearly as exciting!  Next week's page will cover all of that madness!

For this week's page, I used the Wander Kit in the Project Life App.  I thought it was perfect for these photos of my daughter's trip and my son's flight.

Things have been super quiet here on my blog because as we work on this home renovation project, I have zero time to work on any pages other than my Project 52.  Don't worry, things will calm down soon ... I hope!

Thanks for stopping by today and hanging in there with me until I find a bit more time to work on more pages.

Project 52 ~ Week #22

Hi Friends!  Welcome to Wednesday & another page from my Project 52 album!  This week I used the Project Life App with the Charming Edition Kit.  Normally for the subject of these photos I would have done something a bit more amusement park themed; however, since our wedding anniversary was on June 3rd, I decided to stick with the floral theme because I really liked the title card the the "I Love You" card.

Week in the Life ~ Day #6 Friday

Hi Friends!  Just a few more days of WITL posts.  I used the Ali Edwards Week in the Life Kit {WITL}along with products from the monthly Ali Edwards Story Kits & Story Sets, additional Ali Edwards stamp setsAli Edwards WITL digital templates, and stamps & project life cards from Studio Calico.
Today I have Thursday's pages to share and I begin with one of the layered templates that I put over my 6x8 photograph.
I used this year's Ali Edwards template package and used Photoshop Elements to add the text under the date.

My set up is the same for each day ~ the transparent divider.

My 3x8 journaling page protector

My daily summary card and big chipboard letter.
I also used one of the layered templates for my morning photo story page.

This is another layered template.

Cards from the WITL Kit & Studio Calico

Sometimes Friday's call for a sweet treat... just because.

Thanks for visiting today!

Week in the Life ~ Day #5 Thursday

Welcome to a new week and more pages from my WITL project.  As I mentioned on previous days, I purchased the Ali Edwards Week in the Life Kit {WITL}.  In addition to the kit, I also used supplies from the monthly Ali Edwards Story Kits & Story Sets, additional Ali Edwards stamp setsAli Edwards WITL digital templates, and stamps & project life cards from Studio Calico.

Today I have Thursday's pages to share and I begin with one of the layered templates that I put over my 6x8 photograph.  I used this year's Ali Edwards template package and used Photoshop Elements to add the text under the date.

The next page is the Thursday divider.

I used a 3"x 8" page protector for my daily journaling.  The box at the top is from the Digital kit called Daily Story Boxes.  Once printed and trimmed, I took a Stampin' Up marker (Poppy) and added some color to the box.

The "T" is from the 2015 December Daily Kit & the little piece of pizza is from the Eat Story Kit.

I mixed in several cards from various Story Kits and Studio Calico kits throughout my album.

I did a done of handwriting in this project... which isn't usually my thing.

I love this story about watching Jeopardy with Matt.

A final page using one of the AE digital layered templates.
This was my view walking up the stairs one afternoon.

Week in the Life ~ Day #4 Wednesday

Welcome back to my blog and more pages from my WITL project.

Today I have Wednesday's pages to share and I begin with one of the layered templates that I put over my 6x8 photograph.  I used this year's Ali Edwards template package and used Photoshop Elements to add the text under the date.

Here is the Wednesday divider decorated.

I purchased the 3"x 8" page protectors and used them for my daily journaling.  I added the box at the top for each day along with the date using the Digital kit called Daily Story Boxes.  Once printed and cut, I took a Stampin' Up marker (Baja Breeze) and added some color to the box.

Today's journaling was longer, so I shifted the summary card to the full page.  The "W" at the bottom of the 3 x 8 page is from the 2015 December Daily kit this year.  The "W" from the WITL kit was too wide for the page protector.   I also used the Ali Edwards Lens Story Set stamps for the This Life card.

I asked my kids and husband to send me a photo of their view and each of them did.  So I added those photos and descriptions to each photo.  The opposite page just has little bits and pieces from my day.

More stories from my day.

Everyday stuff... the Bring on the Routine stamp is from the Ali Edwards stamp set called What Today Looked Like

For the last page I used another Ali Edwards layered template.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Week in the Life ~ Day #3 Tuesday

Welcome back to my blog today for the next set of Week in the Life pages.  Today I'm sharing my Day #3 ~ Tuesday.  I purchased the Ali Edwards Week in the Life Kit {WITL} and I also used supplies from the monthly Ali Edwards Story Kits & Story Sets, additional Ali Edwards stamp setsAli Edwards WITL digital templates, and stamps & project life cards from Studio Calico.

Each day for the cover page, I used this year's Ali Edwards template package and used Photoshop Elements to add the text under the date.

Here I decorated the transparent divider that was an early bird special with the kit purchase.

I purchased the 3"x 8" page protectors and used them for my daily journaling.  I added the box at the top for each day along with the date using the Digital kit called Daily Story Boxes.  Once printed and cut, I took a Stampin' Up marker (More Mustard) and added some color to the box.

Today's journaling was longer, so I shifted the summary card to the full page.  The "T" at the bottom of the 3 x 8 page is from the WITL kit this year.  I used the Ali Edwards stamp set called What Today Looked Like and stamped tone on tone with More Mustard cardstock & ink from Stampin' Up!  I love that stamp set and used it often in this project.

For my next page, I printed several of my 3x4 photos with two landscape photos so they would fit into the pocket correctly.  This is a great tip if you have more photos you want to use and have too many taken in a certain direction.  You could do the same thing with adding two 3x4 portrait photos on a 4x6 pocket.  I have the Canon Easy PhotoPrint software on my computer (it's a free download on the Canon USA website).  There are a bunch of different print options available with or without borders.  I saw another WITL scrapbooker do this in her book & thought it was the perfect way to add more photos without adding a bunch more pages.

The Cost of Goods Right Now card is from the Ali Edwards Review Story Kit.  I went online and looked up some of the prices and then added some of my favorite products at the bottom.

Each day that week, I did screenshots of the weather & my Fitbit stats & I really wanted to include them for each day.  I managed to add them all in various ways.  This week's weather happened to be amazing, so I spent lots of time outside with the dogs.  Yes - you probably noticed that I took a lot of pictures of my dogs this week.  For many of the days, with my husband traveling part of that week, it was just us during the day while my son was at school.

A fun night with old friends... and another selfie that I really don't like.  Oh well!
That's one thing I learned with this project... Just Go With It!

This photo could be titled "This is our Life" ;)
This isn't the normal time of year for Marching Band; however, Matt was
working on audition tapes to be in the US Army High School Honor Band
next January, so we hit the practice field to make some videos.

One more year...
I'm going to miss this view.

So that wraps up day #3 ~ I hope you've enjoyed my pages so far.  I'll be back tomorrow with another set of pages.

Project 52 ~ Week #18

Hey There Crafty Friends!  Taking a quick break today from my WITL projects to share my usual Wednesday post for my Project 52.  Once again, I've created this page in the Project Life App.  This time I used the Amy Tangerine Plus One Mini Kit for my cards.  I also used the Just Add Color Photo Overlays kit on several of my photos.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope to have another WITL post for tomorrow... if I can get the pictures taken and edited. :)

Week in the Life ~ Day #1 Sunday

Woohoo!  After several weeks of working on this album, my Week in the Life project is finally FINISHED! It took longer than I anticipated, but it is DONE and I am so happy with it!  I really enjoyed doing this project, but just like December Daily, once a year is enough for me.

I purchased the Ali Edwards Week in the Life Kit {WITL} with the pretty polka-dot album.  I have never done this project, so I decided to get the kit so I would have some direction and I really liked the supplies that were included. In addition to the kit, I also used supplies from the monthly Ali Edwards Story Kits & Story Sets, additional Ali Edwards stamp sets, Ali Edwards WITL digital templates, and stamps & project life cards from Studio Calico.

I made my project cover page using a photo I took and added the digital element in Photoshop Elements along with the date.

My Sunday cover is another photo I took and then I added WITL 4x6 Layered Templates.  I added the text "Around the Yard" and changed the date.

The set up for each day is set up much the same way. The transparency divider that has a "Sunday" tab at the top. The "SUN", house icon and wood veneer "Sunday" were all part of the kit.

I purchased the 3"x 8" page protectors and used them for my daily journaling.  I added the box at the top for each day along with the date using the Digital kit called Daily Story Boxes.  Once printed and cut, I took a marker and added some color to the box.

On the other side of the 3" x 8" age, I added the "morning/afternoon/evening" card.  I stamped some of the major times for each day to highlight a few things that happened.  The large "S" is from the Ali Edwards 2015 December Daily Kit & I stamped the date on it.  The "Sunday" and "In Review" stamps are from Studio Calico.

The sweet picture of my pup is a single 4x6 photo that I added to cardstock and then another photo on the back.

Elements used on the pages below were all from the WITL Kit.

The page on the right is from a WITL layered templates - Volumn 3

The next two pages are also from a WITL layered templates - Volumn 3

I used a photo that I took that day as my back cover to finish up Sunday.

I'll be back tomorrow to share my next set of pages from my WITL project.  Have a great day!
