Sneak Peek #3

HELLO!!!! Just a quick hello this morning before I dash off for my day. It going to be a busy one around here, but I didn't want to forget to say good morning to all of you. I am completely blown away with all your nice comments this week. I often wonder how many people really read/browse my stuff and what they really think ~ so thank you from the bottom of my heart.

DON'T FORGET THE BLOG CANDY!!! I finished putting it together last night & I'm happy with the project. Here's the next hint ~ you will eat it after you make it. I posted a hint yesterday too.

Supplies Used: Stamps ~ Hanna Stamps (Best Friends); Cardstock ~ SU textured; Ink ~ Black Palette & Copics; Die Cut Letters ~ Cricut (Alphalicious cartridge); Stacked Buttons ~ Chatterbox; Corner punch ~ SU.

**************************************
I thought this morning I would take some time to answer some questions (and make comments) about some of your posts from this week:

Claudia ~ Wondered if I would post pictures of my scrap/stamp space ~ ohhhhhh, you wouldn't be impressed with the explosion I have going on right now. I'll get some posted in the coming weeks.

Tina C ~ I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet kitty of almost 21 years. I know how difficult it is to lose a furbaby. Kayla was 14 1/2 when she died last November.

Amy W ~ She says she NEVER wins blog candy. I never win stuff either ~ Good luck!

Paula ~ My best friend from Arizona invited me to come see her since I'm sick of winter. I'll be there tomorrow!

Krissy ~ Had lots of very cute sayings for my little lamb baby card. Love them, very cute indeed!

Kristi B ~ Just said hello, but is stressing big time right now. Just wanted to say "Hi" back. Now stop stressing and go stamp!

Patty G ~ Wondered if I would be giving the candy away that's in the picture. Nope sorry. It's just a picture I found on the internet. BUT, my treat will be very yummy ~ I promise.

Heather ~ She asked if the dog bone paper was pattern paper or a stamp. It's actually one of the stamps in the new Hanna Set called Best Friends.

Rachel ~ Doesn't think she will know what to do with my blog candy. You definately will know what to do!

Iscrap ~ Asked if you need a machine to use the Nestabilities ~ Yes, you will need some sort of die cutting system. I use my Cuttlebug. I'll do a tutorial on this soon or you can visit Ellen Hutson at Simple Dreams (see the link on my sidebar). She has tons of great information on her blog.

Good Tuesday Morning!!! I wanted to share with you another card that I made with the new Hanna Stamps sets that are coming out on Friday (March 14th). There will be 5 sets released this week & this card includes the Best Friends set & Small Breed set. There are 3 dog sets (Best Friends, Small Breeds & Large Breeds). There are also 2 others that I will preview later this week.

Well I've got to go get ready for work ~ DON'T FORGET THE BLOG CANDY! This will go until Friday morning, so you have lots of chances to win!!! Scroll down to see the details. I'm not kidding when I say it's a cool prize. It's sweet, yummy, springy, and I posted a similar item on my blog in February... Hmmm...what could it be? You'll find out very soon.

You've been patient...it's time for Candy!

It's been a very long time since I've offered Blog Candy & I thought this would be a fun week for it. I know I've been teasing you for a couple of days. Sorry about that, but I was in a gym all weekend with the kids sports. Anyway, here are the details:
  1. post a comment to any thread on this blog ~ you may post up to 5 comments per day. Your posts can be about anything ~ questions, thoughts, quotes, tips, recipes, etc. Just make sure they are nice ~ because I will remove anything that isn't.

  2. post BEFORE Friday, March 14, 2008 at 7:00am (ET).

  3. leave your name ~ if you have a common name like Michelle or Jennier, please leave the first initial of your last name, a nickname or something so I can figure out who you are. I say this because I know about 20 Jenn's and about 40 Michelle's.

  4. I'll pick a winner from using a random generator & post the winner on Friday morning. It will be a super cool prize ~ just so ya know!

Have fun & thanks for playing!

The title of this new set is called Best Friend ~ can you guess what the theme is? There will be 5 new Hanna sets coming out this week!!! AND, I get to do a challenge this week over on Splitcoast Stampers site ~ so join us on Friday for all the fun!

Sunday's Card...

Well isn't that a snappy title? Not feeling very original this morning at 6:30am ~ no wait it's 7:30am. Did you change your clocks ~ in March? What's up with that? I liked getting up at 7:00 and having daylight. Oh well...

Since I'll be sitting in a gym all day watching my daughter's last volleyball tournament of the year {insert sad face}, I thought I'd better get my card posted for the day. I had the card base put together for my Riley card yesterday {I know, what was I thinking?}. So I had to do something with it last night. I like this one much better with the flower.

I promise I'll get some sweet candy posted soon {probably tomorrow} ~ it's just been a crazy weekend between volleyball and basketball. Happy Sunday!

All Supplies Used are Stampin' Up!: Stamps ~ Live your Dream; Cardstock & Ink ~ Pumpkin Pie, Brilliant Blue, Wild Wasabi, White; Pattern Paper ~ Jersey Shore; Brads ~ Bold Bright; Punches ~ word window, ticket corner.

Ready for flowers...

Are you ready to see green grass, buds on the trees and flowers covering the ground ~ I AM!!!! This card makes me smile. It's not at all what I started out with this morning, but after several attempts, I finally landed on this. I love this new pattern paper from Stampin' Up! because the colors make me happy. Hope you're having a great weekend!

Supplies Used: Stamps ~ Hanna Stamps (Riley Collection); Cardstock ~ Old Olive, Real Red & Brocade Blue (SU); Pattern Paper, brads, punches ~ SU; Dies ~ Nestabilities.

So very happy that today is FRIDAY!!!! Here is another card that I CASE'd from a talented SCS stamper ~ Melany Watson. She has an adorable candy jar that she made with it too ~ very fun!

Well I am swamped today, so I can't take long today. BUT, stay tuned in the next few days ~ I feel my sweet tooth acting up so it will be time for some blog candy (details will be posted soon).

I'm a stampin' machine...

I have been stamping like crazy the past few weeks; unfortunately, I can't share some of it yet. I did want to share this sweet card that I CASE'd from Michelle (sf9erfan) over at Splitcoast Stampers. It's another Sale-A-Bration sample that I used at my last class.

More tomorrow...

The rest of the clamshells...

Clamshell Cards...

My friend Michelle is yet again a source of inspiration to me. I saw her cute clamshell cards on her blog & decided to make some for all my March birthdays ~ it's a very busy birthday month! I am super excited with how these turned out & they were very easy to make with my Nestabilities. These wonderful little dies are so handy & easy to store. While punches are fun, they are big and bulky AND you can't punch through two sheets of cardstock like you can with the Nestabilities. Michelle has a great tutorial on her blog, so hop on over there and check it out.

I'll have two more versions of this card tomorrow ~ so stay tuned...

Supplies Used: Stamps ~ Live Your Dream (SU); Cardstock ~ Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, white; Pattern Paper ~ Afternoon Tea (SU); Ink ~ Chocolate Chip, Groovy Guava, Certainly Celery (marker); Circle & Scallop Dies ~ Nestabilities; Ribbon ~ Chocolate Taffeta.

Challenge Time...

Over on Splitcoast Stamper, we've been having challenges with our Hanna Stamps. Last Friday, Beth posted a challenge using the colors Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip & Blush Blossom (click HERE to see the challenge. I'm not super crazy about this card, but I do love the color combo.

Now that song is in my head...

You know the one? They say it's your birthday...da na na na na na na... We're gonna have a good time... And so it goes from there. Do you have certain songs that bring back memories for you? I was in the car yesterday with my son & heard an old Chicago tune sung by Peter Cetera, that rushed me right back to the 80's. I love that era of music & the memories that go along with it. My favorite album of all time from the 80's ~ Phil Collins No Jacket Required because it remindes me of when my girlfriends and I listened to that all the way down to South Carolina and back on spring break; Endless Love by Diana Ross and Lionel Ritchie because that was the song Tim & I danced to at our wedding; and, Open Arms by Journey (actually anything by Journey with Steve Perry).

OK ~ now that I've completly dated myself, I guess I'll move on to the card of the day. Today, I have another CASE'd card. Don't worry, I'll get back to original creations soon ~ I just think these are super cute. Today's card was CASE'd from one of my sweet friends Dawn (dostamping on SCS). Thank you for all your inspiration Dawn.

Another quick CASE...

Oops...I meant to post yesterday & totally forgot. Anyway, here's another card I CASE'd from Splitcoast Stampers. The card was made by Melissa Rawlins. Isn't it cool? This card seriously took about 3 minutes to make because it's made using the new Stampin' Up! rub-ons with felt flowers. The result is so dramatic. Thanks Melissa for the great card and inspiration ~ You forced me to actually open my rub-ons rather than just sit and look at them!

All Supplies are Stampin' Up! ~ Sale-A-Bration Rub-ons; Felt flowers; Ice Circle Brads; Black cardstock.
