Happy World Cardmaking Day!

It's the first Saturday of October & that means it's World Cardmaking Day! Now of all the "special" little holidays they've come out with, I have to say, this one is perfect for me! But... do I really need an excuse to stamp? The funny part is ~ I probably won't even have a chance to stamp today.

I developed this super-easy card especially for the Lizzie Anne Designs Santa's Card Making Workshop that is being unveiled today on the Lizzie Anne website. The thing I like about this card is that is can easily be mass produced for your holiday card. Also, it's easy to substitute different colors and pattern paper to get a completely different look. The supply list and instructions, as well as tons of other fun ideas are on the website.

Supplies Used: Stamps ~ Lizzie Anne Designs (Holiday Cheer); Cardstock ~ SU; Pattern Paper ~ Lizzie Anne Designs (Winter Wonderland); Ink ~ SU; Nestabilities; Ribbon ~ SU.

Lizzie Anne is one of the sponsors for World Cardmaking Day (WCD) & I was honored to make a card for the official WCD website. Unfortunately, they didn't put designer credits on any of the cards, so I can share it here with you now.

Supplies:
Stamps: Rockin' Holiday by Lizzie Anne Designs; Patterned Paper: Memory Box; Dies: Nestabilities by Spellbinders (rectangle scallop & classic oval); Ink color: black; Cardstock colors: red and white; Other: markers, glitter pens, ribbon, red brads.

Instrustions:
1. Cut standard card base (8 1/2" x 5 1/2") & score at 4 1/4"
2. Cut white panel (5 3/8" x 4 1/8")
3. Cut pattern paper (5 1/4" x 4") & attach to white panel.
4. Wrap ribbon around white card panel and tie a knot on the far left edge. Then attach to the red card base.
5. Using the Nestabilities rectangle scallop die, cut a 3 1/4" x 4" scallop rectangle.
6. Using the Nestabilities classic oval die, cut a 2" x 2 3/4" oval out of the center of the previously cut rectangle.
7. On a separate piece of white cardstock stamp the fireplace and color using markers (make sure the piece of cardstock is smaller than the scalloped rectangle and that the fireplace will peek through the oval window). Attach to the center of the pattern cardstock.
8. On another small piece of white cardstock, stamp the Christmas tree image, color with markers & cut out.
9. Take the rectangle scallop piece and punch a hole in each corner & attach a red brad.
10. Apply foam dots to each corner and attach to the card base.
11. Attach the Christmas tree to the lower right corner of the scallop rectangle piece.

There are tons of other fun cards on this site ~ so go take a look!
