Hambo Hoedown goes CAS!

Today starts a brand new challenge over on the Hambo Hoedown ~ CAS (or Clean & Simple).  I love CAS designs, so this challenge was a pretty easy one for me!

I used the Balloon Thing digital image because we are also celebrating Tim Hunter's Birthday (the illustrator for Hambo Stamps).    I 

After I printed my image on white cardstock, I colored him with my Spectrum Noir Markers (BT3, BT4, BT8, CG1, CG2, CG3, CG4, IB2, GT2, IG1).

Vintage Rose Clock

I've had this lovely image from Crafter's Companion's Stamp-It Australia collection for almost a year & haven't used it!  Today I decided to pull it out and add it to this vintage card.    The image is called Rose Clock and I just stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then added just a little bit of color using burgundy and olive chalk on the tip of a Q-Tip.  SUPER EASY-PEASY!!!!

TRC Kit ~ Fall Wreath

Hi Friends!  I'm here today to share one more card using the fabulous new Creative Cafe Kit for October called Fall Harvest from The Rubber Cafe.  For my card today, I used the stamp set that comes with the kit called Harvest Time, as well as the add-on set called Fall Traditions to make my own background paper with the fabulous words and phrases that are in both sets.

When making background paper, it's important to stamp the largest words first and then fill in the spaces with the smaller words.  I also changed directions and alternated the block words with non-block words so it is pleasing to the eye.  Once I stamped all of the words (sometimes multiple times), I added a few of the small leaf & acorn images in the blank spots.

I added a square of the burlap fabric included in the kit and removed a few strings from each side for the frayed look.  For the main image on the card, I used the acorn wreath and stamp it in Memento Rich Cocoa Ink and then stamped the dotted wreath over the top with Memento Rhubarb Stalk Ink to tie in the color of the background paper.

For the finishing touches on my card, I added some pretty burgundy seam binding ribbon and a big bow.  Then I colored the wooden banner with the Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink and stamped the sentiment in Memento Rich Cocoa.

Whimsy & Stars Studios ~ So Thankful!

We are knee deep into fall and I have a perfect seasonal card to share today using a wonderful image from Whimsy & Stars Studios called Blessed Harvest.  

I paper pieced each part of the image with a different pattern paper.  It's super easy to do!

Step 1: Print your image on cardstock.
Step 2: Select several coordinating patterns from one collection ~ the one I selected above is from Farmhouse Paper Company (Sugar Hill Collection).
Step 3: Lightly adhere, with a removable adhesive, a small piece of pattern paper over the portion of the image you want it to print.  Feed it through your printer again. (Note: you may need to change papers and run it through the printer several times depending on the number of patterns you choose to select.)
Step 4: Remove the pattern paper & rub off any excess adhesive.  Trim the cardstock image with a die cut shape.
Step 5: Trim each image from the pattern papers and attach them to the printed cardstock.  BOOM... DONE!  Pretty Easy huh?

ETA: The brown background panel was made with brown Bazzill cardstock and an embossing folder.

Birthday Text Embossalicious!

Hi Friends!  I can't believe it's November 1st already ~ where has the year gone?

Well today I have a quick tutorial to share using one of the new Embossalicious Folders called Birthday Text by Crafter's Companion.

Step 1: Trim a piece of white cardstock 5" x 5".  Then trim 5 pieces of colored cardstock ~ 1" x 5".

Step 2: Attach the colored cardstock strips to the white card panel.

Step 3: Trim any excess colored cardstock with a paper cutter in case they run off the edges of the white card panel.

Step 4: Using the Birthday Text Embossalicious folder, run panel through the eBosser.

Step 5: Here's the finished piece.

Step 6: On a piece of white cardstock, use several coordinating Spectrum Noir colors and add the colors with the chisel tip of the marker.  Use the lighter colors to blend. (CG1, CG3, BT3, BT4, BT5)

Step 7: Add a sentiment and then trim with an oval die cut.  I used a sentiment from the Through the Rain stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

Cherry-licious Embossalicious!

Last week for the Crafter's Companion birthday celebration, they released 9 new fabulous 6" x 6" Embossalicious Embossing Folders.  This new folder is called Cherry-licious ~ super fun huh?  I have several ideas for this folder, but this quick card is what I decided on first.  The stamp set is called Sentiment Swirls from the Stamp-It Australia Collection & I inked it up with Memento Tuxedo Black.

Hambo & HYCCT Flower Challenge

Hi Friends!  I'm here today with a fun fall card to share.  I LOVE coloring flowers and these pretty daisies were just begging to be filled in with a few autumn colors.  I used the Flowers digital image from Hambo Stamps and colored in the images with my Spectrum Noir markers.  The bottom border is embossed with the Petite Dots Embossing Folder from Crafter's Companion.

I also played along on the Hope You Can Cling To Challenge for October 22nd ~ Flowers.   (HYCCT1322).  Play along all month long for chances to win great prizes (like Hambo Stamps image ~ wink, wink)!

Crafter's Companion New Embossalicious Folders!

You know how much I love embossing folders and Crafter's Companion has a ton of them.  Well to celebrate birthday week, there are 9 new 6" x 6" folders being released and I can't wait for them to hit my doorstep!!!

Hi Friends!  Today Mabelle R.O. from Whimsy and Stars Studios has another adorable image to release for the upcoming Christmas season.  The image name is Snowy and she is available right now for instant download!  

The pattern papers are from My Mind's Eye (Mistletoe Magic) and I added some white flock to the sweet little snowgirl's coat on the trim.  The fun embossing folder is called Let It Snow from Crafter's Companion.
