Taylored Expressions April Sneak Peeks: A Life She Loved

Welcome to Day #3 of the Taylored Expressions April Sneak Peeks. To say that I am excited about today's projects, would be a big understatement!  For our projects today, Taylor asked the Baker's Dozen team to make a decorative item highlighting the new sets being sneak peeked.  I made this Beyond the Page 9-Frame Photo Display by Kaisercrafts and used the Simple Stories Homespun 6x6 Paper pad in each square.  Now I'll be honest, I was a little overwhelmed with the thought of this project before I began; however, I just took it box by box & it all came together beautifully!  Here's a look at the whole piece ~ it measures about a 13.5" square.

Note: Since this is a display piece, I used Memento Luxe inks which are pigment ink (Tuxedo Black, Rhubarb Stalk and Nautical Blue) and embossed all of the images and sentiments with embossing powder so they wouldn't fade over time.

In the top 2 boxes, I used lots of pattern papers from the Simple Stories 6x6 Paper Pad along with several TE dies ~ (Box 1) Bloomin' Stacklet 2 & Label Stacklet 2; (Box 2) Build A House & Cloud Duo and a few spare hearts from the Hearts Cutting Plate that I used in another box.  The sentiment in Box 1 is from the new set called When Your Heart Speaks that is being sneaked today.

In Box #3, I used the stamped image & sentiment from the new set called A Life She Loved.  I also used the new TE Label Stacklet 8 dies and a Small Scallop Border die  to help highlight the picture of me and my husband.

For Box #4, I used a cute photo of my kids along with the pencil cup image and the "You Color My World" are both from the new set A Life She Loved.   I also used the new TE Label Stacklet 8 dies and a Chevron Border die.

I love how Box #5 turned out ~ I used the new Cherish Every Moment set to stamp the flowers as a background on Choice Kraft cardstock and colored the flowers.  Then I added the sentiment on the smallest Label Stacklet 8 die, trimming off the edge.

For Box #6, I had to include our furry babies on this family frame because they are such a big part of our family.   I used the sentiment from the Trixi stamp set along with the Paw Print border for a few special {yet subtle} touches on this box.

And now for the bottom row of the frame... for Box #7, I used several pieces of pattern paper and since there was a sentiment already on the paper "Home is Where the Heart Is", I decided to keep the rest of the box pretty simple.  I added a heart background with the Hearts Cutting Plate and then simply added one of the spare hearts to the pattern stripe.

For Box #8, I used the new Spotted Cutting Plage {click the picture to enlarge so you can see it}, along with the new Silhouette Stems #4 and a sentiment from the new When our Heart Speaks stamp set.

For the last box (Box #9), I focused on the fabulous image & sentiment that came in the When our Heart Speaks stamp set.  It's so pretty and delicate!  This box could easily be an entire card front!  I used a few additional TE dies ~ Bloomin' Stacklet 2 & Small Scallop Border to finish off the box.

I really enjoyed making this fabulous frame & can't wait to find the perfect spot in our family room to display it.

For my second project today, I made a clean and simple card which pretty much sums up my thoughts about all of my project...  LOL!

I used the new set called Stroke of Genius for the background and stamped the brushstroke image from top to bottom in some fabulous Neon inks.  Then I embossed them with clear embossing powder and add this fabulous sentiment from the A Life She Loved stamp set.  I trimmed it out with the TE Labels Stacklet 2.   I finished it off with a few Doodlebug black sequins and Voila ~ super happy with the clean and simple look!
