OCL Sketch Challenge #26

It's Friday ~ Happy TGIF! It's time once again for the weekly OCL Sketch challenge. I made this yesterday and I haven't figured out yet if I like it ~ it's so...PURPLE! I used one of the sets we released last year called Sweet on You along with some Punk Purple Crafty Sparkles by OCL and the pretty pattern paper by Basic Grey (Kioshi).

Highlighting the Sentiment

When you have a great sentiment, show it off. On this card, I made it the star. The sentiment is new this month from Lizzie Anne Designs & is called Footprints. I paired it up with papers from the Thrift Shop collection by October Afternoon.

Sweet Surprise Sketch

Oh my goodness! I am totally BANANAS about this card ~ I LOVE IT! LOL! Yesterday I decided to see what I could come up with for the weekly Lizzie Anne Sketch. The sketch itself is pretty simple, but that was really half the fun! I used my August Monthly Mix ~ Turn Toward the Sun. I also used some new paper I was given at CHA by a new company called Echo Park and the line is A Walk in the Park.

Scrapling Inspiration

A few months ago, I found a beautiful mini card (aka a scrapling) on Tiffany Ervin's blog. Tiffany and I were on a design team together at one time & her work is very inspiring to me. I just love browsing around her amazing creations. Anyway, when I saw her pretty single flower card (linked above) and knew that I really wanted to make one of my own with my Pretty Petals set.

Making the CUT!

Hello Peeps! It's Monday ~ are you ready for the new week???? Today is my husband's birthday & this is the card I made for him. He loves to do yardwork (which is a total mystery to me), so when this image came out in the Lizzie Anne June Monthly Mix (Life is Good), I knew I was would use it for him.

Talk about a simple card ~ after I figured out the layout, it took me about 10 minutes to put together!

I also used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the August Monthly Mix (Turn Toward the Sun).

Speaking of Making the Cut ~ my daughter just came home from Volleyball tryouts and made Varsity ~ woohooo!

OCL Sketch Challenge #25

ACK! Finally got my sketch done for this week. I don't usually wait until the very last minute, but I just couldn't get to it until then ~ I think being out of town for CHA threw me off.

Anyway, for my sketch, I decided to flip it around and use the big oval as a place for my sentiment. I used the Sunshine Cheer set along with some Sugar Sparkly Fluff on the clouds.

Footprints on my heart

Woohooo ~ I finally stamped yesterday! The beautiful new sentiment single from Lizzie Anne Designs, is the focus of my project today. The single is called Footprints & it's a great verse.

Do you have people like that in your life ~ I'm fortunate enough to say that I do.

A birdie told me...

...you were probably ready to see a project rather than more CHA pictures. LOL! Here is a store display card I did a few months ago. I used the cute set called Tweet Thang ~ I just love that set! For a little added POP, I added a Sparkly Fluffed brad in the center of the flower.

I really need to get some stamping done ~ here's hoping I get some time today!

Time with Friends ~ what could be better?

One of the most wonderful parts of CHA is spending time with good friends, making new friends, and meeting online friends for the first time. Today's pictures are all about some of the girls I spent time with last week. I sure wish I had pictures of everyone I spent time with, but that just didn't happen.

OCL at CHA!

I'm back from the Chicago CHA show and thought I would show you some pictures of what I was up to all week long.

Here is the focus of the beautiful pink and orange booth ~ let me tell you, this booth just POPS right out to everyone as they walk by!

Our fun pink fridge and the Sparkly Fluff display get lots of looks. BTW ~ we have SIX new colors of Sparkly Fluff coming out soon along with 24 new stamp sets!!!!

The gorgeous samples from our wonderful Design Team are always the hit of the booth!

So many gorgeous things to look at that you can hardly take it all in with one visit!

Joy Kennedy (OCL General Manager), Mama (Joy's mom), and Michelle Yager all say hello on day #2 of the show.

Kimberly McCausland (the OCL Sales Manager) does a Make and Take with Deb Felts.

The show is over and my BFF Roomie, Cindy Lawrence, takes a break while we wait for the wood crates to arrive.

Joy, Cindy, Deb, and Kimberly & I all took a break while we waited to load everything up. Joy even got her iPad out so we could watch a few episodes of Glee!

The week was a blast ~ but very exhausting! I'll have some product pictures and more photos of friends over the next few days.
