i am... on my way!

Happy Thursday!  This week I'm on a mission to tackle the many piles of scrapbooking projects I have in my basement that date back to 2011. I started my process by sorting my printed photos and I'm putting them in Project Life pocket page protectors.  This way, I can pick up any album I want to work on and it is ready to be embellished & journaled.   I'm kind of bouncing all over the place from this to that and going where the mood takes me.  That's not normally my style, but I figured this way I would actually be productive & I also want to enjoy the process.  After all, scrapbook is supposed to be fun... not a source of stress.

While I was organizing Megan's graduation photos yesterday, I couldn't resist pulling out a few of them to make a scrapbook page.  It's been ages since I made a full 12x12 layout & I enjoyed it so much!  I was actually very surprised how fast the layout went together.  To make my page, pulled out my Simple Stories I AM Collection of supplies.  I love how the layout turned out.

I had no idea when I took these photos in June 2015, how true the words on this page would be for Megan's journey this year.  She endured and learned so much about life and "adulting" in the last 12 months.  As her mom, there are some lessons I would have done anything to spare her from; however, all I can do is pray and leave it to God.  He is the ultimate healer & knows the plans he has for her future {easier said than done... but I'm trying}.  Thankfully, she believes that too, and she knows she is loved and treasured by her parents and her Heavenly Father.

For the "I AM..." title, I used one of the 4x6 cards in the collection.  I then added gold chipboard hearts, the "On My Way" sticker, and gold enamel dots.

I also used other chipboard elements to decorate the page, enamel dots, and added the date using alphabet and number stickers in the 12x12 kit.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Congrats to the Graduate!

I've been making TONS of graduation cards this season and hey look... I make more than just green grad cards!  LOL!

For my card today, I used the Graphic Greetings - Graduate stamp and paired it up with the Tag Stacklet 1 dies and the new Honeycomb & Chevron Embossing Folders!

Celebrating the Class of 2016!

Graduation season has been in full swing and although I didn't have a graduate this year, my best friend's daughter {and "second" daughter} celebrated with the Class of 2016!  So of course, I had to help out by making some party decorations and a band photo album!

For the centerpieces, I found this cute graphic online, changed the tassel to green in Photoshop & printed and cut them out with my circle dies.  Then I trimmed green and black scallop circles and attached them to paper straws.  Next we attached photos to the straws also, stamped music notes on tissue paper and stuck the straws in styrofoam inside a canning jar.  Tied it with a ribbon and VOILA!  Easy Peasy!

I also made an 8x8 Marching Band Scrapbook using the Project Life App on my tablet.
Here is the cover page of the album.

Below are the pages I made for the beginning of each year of Marching Band.
There are about 75 pages in the book.

TE Theme: Graphic Greetings ~ Graduation

Graduation season is upon us and the designers for Taylored Expressions have lots of great projects to share with you this month.

I used the Graphic Greetings - Graduation stamp for today's project and rather than just ink it in one color, I masked off the stamp while inking to include both black and green ink.  This would be a pretty easy graduation card to mass produce in various ink colors.  {supplies and links are listed below}

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks: Congrats to the Grad!

It's Day #3 of the April Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks and I'm super excited to share a few scrapbook pages with you!

Taylored Expressions has some awesome new (and previously released) graduation products and I think used almost all of them on my layouts!  For the background on my page, I used the two "Hooray" sentiments and stamped them in kraft ink on the Toffee Cardstock for a nice tone-on-tone look.  Then I added the fun new Picture Perfect - Celebrate frame with my untrimmed photo behind it.  {Other products used on this page are linked below}

For the second layout, I used the smaller frame {Dream Big} from the Picture Perfect - Celebrate die and the Picture Perfect - Smile/Hello die as well.  I also used two of the new Little Bits dies - Hats off and Diploma.  Then I added the Congrats Script on the bottom photo.

For my next project, I used the Grad Grumplings Stamp & Die Combo set to make a cute Graduation Hat shaped card.

I found this grad hat card on Pinterest and thought this was the perfect opportunity to use it with all new fun grad images and dies from TE this month!    Here is how it looks closed...

And now opened.
Isn't that little monkey from the Grad Grumplings set cute?
