Finishing Up 2018 OLW ~ {Embrace}

I'm so excited to share the rest of my One Little Word pages for 2018.
This year, my album was a labor of love...
my year was challenging, but I am blessed.

The September prompt was all about the stories I tell myself ... true or not

During October, Ali challenged us find song titles or quotes ... I loved this one!

For November's prompt,
I wrote a letter to myself about
my 2018 journey

and finally, in December, I wrapped up my final thoughts
and how I felt the year of {embrace} went.

I'm looking forward to starting my new OLW tomorrow!

One Little Word ~ July & August Prompts

Hello My Friends!

Today I'm sharing my One Little Word Prompts for July & August. These prompts were challenging because I've had some struggles with my journey this year. It's been such a big year of change for our family & even though you know it's coming, it's still hard. I've included a lot of "this is where my heart is" stuff in these pages.

One Little Word ~ April, May & June

Hello There!

I looked at my One Little Word label of my blog and realized I hadn't posted any pages since my March prompt. I am so happy with how this album is coming out this year. I am being very intentional about sticking with the same colors and doing minimal pages for each month.

For April, the prompt was the Post-It challenge. Putting questions on post-it notes and placing them where you will see them each day. I transferred my questions to these fun stitched circles and added my answers on the Reflections card.

During the month of May, we were prompted to take 8 photos from the month and document the moments. It was a great month for that since both kids were graduating and moving on to their summer adventures. There were lots of activities going on!

For the month of June, the prompt was all about documenting how the project is progressing with our word so far this year. June was a hard month for me with lots of ups and downs... so my thoughts and reflections were all based on those feelings. It is what it is... sometimes it just isn't fun & that's what this project is all about.

{Embrace} ~ One Little Word March Prompt

Hello Crafty Peeps!  Today I wanted to share with you my completed pages for the One Little Word March Prompt.  The prompt was to come up with something related to your word that you could complete each day.  One of the goals with my word is to embrace the changes happening in my world this year. In order to embrace these changes, I need to trust and have faith that God is leading me every step of the way. This means I need to be reading my bible daily.  My sister introduced me to this awesome App that I pulled up on my tablet each day called First 15. I was very pleased that I completed this devotional each day for the month!

Here's how I documented the month...

{Embrace} One Little Word ~ February Prompt

Today I worked on the One Little Word prompt for February. This month's activity involved making a vision board for our word. Once again this year, I decided to put the page right in my album rather than make a larger canvas for my wall. I'm trying to live my word more this year, but document it a bit less then last year.

I found a new-to-me magazine at the store a few weeks ago and the gorgeous pink flowers on the cover really spoke to me so I flipped through it. It is called Life:Beautiful and it is a really nice publication ~ and at $5.99, it didn't break the bank either.  I also used a few phrases from an Ulta store advertisement as well as the February card & phrase stickers from the Ali Edwards One Little Word kit.

Enjoy You Day & Embrace the Journey!

Project 52 ~ Week #1

Here I go with another week of Project 52 & it's week #1... only 51 weeks to go!  LOL!  Since I was successful with using the Project Life App & a 6x12 format last year, I've decided to go for it again this year.  If you missed my post about my Project 52 Process, check it out... there are tons of details included.

To start my 2018 Album, I used a family photo from Christmas and changed it to black and white. The cards are from the Project 52 Fresh Edition and Fresh Edition Add-Ons.

For the Week #1 page, I used the new Project 12 - January Edition kit in the App along with a few cards from September Skies.  I also added some photo overlays from Project 52 Overlays and Just Add Color Overlays.

{Embrace} One Little Word ~ January Prompt

This past week I started working on my One Little Word prompt for January. I've decided to for a very clean and simple look this year using the Ali Edwards pink album & 2018 OLW kit.   I also ordered this sweet little Whole Heart - Pocket Tailsman with my word {Embrace} on it from Soul Mantras.  I love it & will include it in my photos 💗

At the beginning of each year, the January prompt is all about learning things about your OLW and what you want to work on for the upcoming year.  The cards for my cover page are all from the OLW 2018 Ali Edwards kit.  I added the pink hearts and letter stickers.

I like the clean and simple look of typing up my journaling, so I also used the cards that come in the digital OLW package that comes free with the OLW class purchase.  The quote is from a Pinterest search & the pink stamped image is from the new OLW stamp set called This One Life.

Even though all of these cards/pages came with the physical kit, I did all of my journaling on the computer and used the digital cards.  Then I added more stamping in pink for little bits of color.

Depending on the prompts in the coming months, I'm sure that I'll have more color on my pages, but for this month, the focus is really on the content.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Embrace 2018 with OLW

Hello Friends!  Today I worked on an impromptu project combining the Project Life App and my One Little Word project.  These cool calendar templates were on the Becky Higgins Blog (December 5, 2017 post) and I was going to make a quick photo calendar with them.  However, when I started looking at photos, I saw my OLW photo I put together earlier this week and thought it would be cool to put up a new {Embrace} quote each month.  This was a pretty quick project on the Project Life App Collage feature and I printed them at home on my Canon Photo printer with 4x6 photo paper. Then I backed them with coordinating cardstock and they are ready to clip up each month.

I've had this calendar stand for 3 or 4 years and each year I change out the year.  This year I also changed the bow & the clip to match the green & blue in my office.

Here are the cardstock backed calendar pages.

Below are the actual calendar pages that I made in the collage feature of the Project Life App ~ Easy Peasy!!  The photo quotes are all from Pinterest and Google searches.

Thanks for popping in today!
