I'm Not Ignoring You...
Really! Last week really got away from me but here I am to show you the last 2 cards I have prepared for my Stamp-A-Stack classes that start tonight. The top card uses the new set from the Holiday Collection called True Friends and the new pattern paper too. I really like this set!
The other card uses a new set from the catalog called Double Line Doodle. It's a fun little set too. I really love the double stitched ribbon on this card! Ribbon is a great way to add a little something extra for not a lot of extra $$.

A Fold Out Card...
There's a very sweet pink friend of mine who has been a super big support system to me lately in my quest to enter the design world. I thought that sweet friend deserved a sweet treat in the mail next week. I decided something beyond the normal card fold was in order so I cam up with this cool gate-fold out pocket card. Who knows if I really developed it or not, but it was fun to figure out anyway! I also decorated this cute little Ball Canning Jar (which I found at the grocery store thanks to my friend Michelle) and will fill it up with some fun treats.
The center panels are pockets and the tags just tuck inside and they are finished off with some Doodlebug trims ~ which I just LOVE!

Scrapbooking Again...
Several months ago I bought a book by Creating Keepsakes called Easy Patterns for Scrapbooking. I love the layouts in this book and the fact that you can get so many different projects out of just a few sheets of cardstock and pattern paper. A few days ago I pulled out this fun pattern paper and wanted to find the perfect pictures to go with it. Instantly I thought of my retreat photos from my August trip.
So I picked out which patterns I wanted to copy out of the book, I cut out all my pieces of cardstock and pattern paper and I printed all my pictures on my photo printer. Once I had the major pieces down on the paper, I was able to add my embellishments and stamp all those words with alphabet stamps.

The few really fantastic things about scrapbooking this way: (1) you get more layouts done using less product; (2) you get a lot more done in a lot less time; and, (3) your pictures are now in a scrapbook ~ which is the best part!
Supplies Used: Cardstock ~ Bazzill; Pattern Paper ~ Sweetwater (All About Me); Stamps ~ Hero Arts Alphabet; Die Cut Letters ~ Cricut Alphalicious Cartridge; Accessories ~ ric rac (unknown); Chipboard flowers ~ Sweetwater; Brads ~ Stampin' Up!

Just a quick peek...
Happy Labor Day! We've had a fun time with friends, church and family this weekend. I've also been trying to come up with some samples for my 3 Stamp-A-Stack classes later this month.
The first one uses the Thinking Happy Thoughts set {one of my very favorite new sets} with my favorite new colors & punches.
Wanna see one more card? OK ~ just one more... this second card uses the Stem Silhouettes set in the Holiday Mini & also uses a few of the new colors.
The rest of the cards I'm keeping a suprise because I know at least a few of my girls will be on here {Kristi & Jen} and I gotta keep something a surprise, right? LOL!
Have you ever been to a Stamp-A-Stack? My customers go crazy with them. They come stamp 16 cards {of 4 different designs} in just a few hours and everything is already cut and scored ~ so it's super easy! The cards need to stay pretty simple so they can get them all done. Therefore, there are not a lot of layers, backgrounds or complicated techniques.

Rough week for stamping...
This was one of those weeks that I didn't have any time to stamp and then when I finally sat down today, nothing looked right! I just hate when that happens! A friend sent me a few images with this little Penny Black mouse stamp, so I thought I'd make a quick birthday card ~ an hour later it was done {YIKES}. I was on such a roll last week, so I was bound to hit the wall at some point. I'll try again tomorrow.
Supplies Used: Stamps ~ Penny Black & Lizzie Anne Designs; Cardstock ~ Bazzill Doodlebug; Pattern Paper ~ Doodlebug; Ribbon ~ May Arts; Button ~ unknown; Coloring materials ~ watercolor wonder crayons (SU) & Markers.
