Baby Bee
I found this PERFECT paper from American Crafts to use for this card ~ love it! The layout was inspired by Joslyn from the Lizzie Anne Team ~ she always has such great layouts and beautiful techniques. I used the sweet bee from the Great Expectations Sixlet set by Lizzie Anne Designs.

Class Cards
Today I have some sweet and simple cards that I made for a Sparkly Fluff class at our local scrapbook store. I used the Tweet Thang set by Our Craft Lounge. I used Real Juicy Orange Sparkly Fluff on both cards and then fluffed the brads on the second card with Lemon Drop.

Lizzie Anne Project of the Month!
While I'm gone, I wanted to show you this fun project I made for the Lizzie Anne Designs Project of the Month. It's a clear card using this fun clear sheet from KI Memories.
1) Trim plastic sheet 4 1/2" x 12" and score at 6" for your card base. Round corners if desired
2) Stamp image in black ink and color. Add clear glitter to the clouds & yellow glitter to the sun.
3) Cut Nestibility shapes and embossing design with embossing folder. Attach to card base with strong adhesive.
4) Tie ribbon through button holes and attach to the corner of the image with glue dots.
5) Since the plastic sheet is transparent, you will need to add the same shape to the left side inside of the card to cover up any adhesive from the image on the front. Stamp some images and attach with strong adhesive.
6) Finish off the card with another piece of cardstock - be careful that the image is smaller or placed exactly in the same spot so you can't see it when the card is closed. Stamp a sentiment and leave room to write your greeting.
Supplies Used:
Stamps ~ Turn Toward the Sun - August '10 Monthly Mix; Supplies ~ Clear Plastic Starburst Sheet - KI Memories Sheer Delights; Ink ~ Palette, Copics; Clear Glitter; Button ~ Foof-a-la; Ribbon ~ May Arts; Nestabilties

Time for some BBQing...
This cute store display card I made uses two fun sets by Our Craft Lounge ~ Life is a Picnic & Bring on the BBQ . I also used a little bit of 24 Kt Gold Sparkly Fluff on the corn and some Appletini Sparkly Fluff on the grass to make the image pop!
I'm off to CHA today ~ can't wait to share all the fun new things with you. But don't worry, I have posts scheduled all week.

OCL Sketch Challenge #23
I'm going a little outside of my safe zone today with this card. I am not much a silhoutte girl ~ I like them, but I can't always do them. So for today's sketch I tried it ~ and felt pretty OK about the result. I used two OCL sets today ~ Fishing with Dad & Vintage Swirls for the background. This card is in honor of my dad today because it's his birthday! Happy Birthday Dad!
Today's sketch is based on one of my cards ~ here is my original (which is much more my style). This card is somewhere on my blog, but after spending 10 minutes hunting for it, I just decided to put up the picture. I used the very popular set Out for a Spin on my original card.

Wanna come LOUNGE with us?
Hey Peeps ~ welcome to another Thursday! Are you heading to Chicago for CHA next week? Well if you do, make sure you stop by the OCL booth (#2020) to say hello! In fact, the cute little bar and stool in my card today will look very familar to you if you do stop by. These images are from the set called Live, Laugh, Lounge and they match our CHA booth exactly!
I had lots of fun playing with new sets yesterday and can't wait to show you all the 3D projects I made! Soon girls, very soon!

Turn Toward the Sun!
That's the name of this month's edition of the Monthly Mix by Lizzie Anne Designs. My card for today is a super simple and very FAST card. I simply stamped the image on my yellow pattern paper and trimmed it to fit inside the scalloped Nestability. Both pattern papers are by October Afternoon (Thrift Shop & Fly a Kite).

IHP Challenge Day!
It's time to USE IT UP! Kate has a HUGE stash of 12x12 pattern paper just dying to be played with and it's all on sale! So our design team challenge this month was to use some of those gorgeous papers. I think I used 7 different papers on this scrapbook page. All of the papers came from some fun kits Kate has by My Mind's Eye ~ Hello Beautiful & Isn't She Lovely. Then I added some buttons and added some Hero Arts gems ~ just so they weren't naked!

I get by...
I'm in full blown craziness this week ~ the kids are home, I am the taxi service and hubby is out of town. AND...I'm trying to get ready for CHA. So much to do, so little time.
I made this card ages ago for a possible class ~ it didn't happen, but I like the card. I used the Flower Power set by Our Craft Lounge.
Supplies from i{heart}papers: Stamps ~ Our Craft Lounge (Flower Power); Ink ~ Palette, Copics (YR18); Nestibilities.

Digging through the files
What a busy week I had! Both kids were out of town visiting with family so it was just me and my hubby. We both put in long hours for work & CHA is just around the corner ~ so you know I've been stamping up a storm.
Two years ago for CHA, I was asked by Jackie at Inky Antics to do some samples for her. I can't believe it, but I found several cards that I never blogged! So I thought I'd share one with you today.
I will have scads of new stuff to share with you in a few weeks!
ETA: the blue circle is a scalloped circle (Nestabilities) and I trimmed the edges off.

Notes on File
Hello Peeps & welcome to this month's edition of the Lizzie Anne Design Team Challenge. This month we are using items you wouldn't normally find on a card.
So the item I chose is the clip on the top right-hand. Now I realize it's just some sort of metal paperclip; however, what I found so interesting was how I got these clips. You know how dress shirt usually come all nicely folded with about a million straight pins? Well these clips were used to hold the dress shirt in place rather than straight pins. I thought I could probably do something with them, so I held on to them. You can see the full clip at the bottom of the picture.
So since the clip is very much like a paper clip, it gave me the idea to do a file folder card and attach the note to it.

And here is the cute NOTE that I attached to my file folder. The stamped images are from two of the Lizzie Anne Monthly Mixes ~ August '10 (Turn Toward the Sun), May '10 (Dream Big), and I used the "notes" image from the September '09 (Something to Crow About).

OCL Sketch Challenge #22
It's another fun Friday and I'm all ready to go with the OCL weekly sketch challenge!!! I couldn't believe my luck this week when I looked at my work table and found this card base and then looked at my sketch and found that IT WAS THE SAME LAYOUT! So I just needed to figure out an image. That wasn't hard because I picked up my favorite floral set ~ Pretty Petals. I just LOVE this set! I also pulled out Say it with Flowers for the sentiment & Whispy Patterns for the background. The pattern paper is from October Afternoon (Thrift Shop).
Don't forget to play along so you have a chance to win a free OCL set ~ you can find the sketch on the OCL Blog!
Supplies from i{heart}papers: Stamps ~ Our Craft Lounge (Pretty Petals, Whispy Patterns, Say it with Flowers); Ink ~ Palette, Copic Markers (E07, YG95, R22, R49); Pattern Paper ~ October Afternoon (Thrift Shop); Stickles ~ Star Dust.

Mix It Up Blog Hop Day!
Woohooo! It's the 15th and that means it's once again time to MIX IT UP with a Monthly Mix Blog Hop & the Lizzie Anne girls!
I love when it's time to reveal a new Monthly Mix! The set for August is called Turn Toward the Sun & this cute little boat is one of my very favorite images form the set. It is a solid stamp, so I inked it in the lighter blue and then used my navy blue marker for the bottom of the boat and the flag before I stampled the image onto my paper. NOTE: DO NOT use Copic Markers or other alcohol based markers.
Here are all the other players ~
Stephanie Muzzulin
Patricia Hays
Tricia Ulberg (Lizzie)
Joslyn Nielson
Taylor Usry
Deb Felts
Jeanne Streiff
Maren Benedict
Wendy Price
Kendra Wietstock
Jeni Allen
And finally, here is the new Mix.

A Friend...
Here's another card from my stamping spree last week. To make the background, I stamped the flowers with Versamark ink and then chalked over them with pink and sage chalk. I used the pretty flowers and sentiments from the Hello Friend set by Lizzie Anne Designs.

It's a PURR-fect Day!
ACK! I got up this morning and realized I hadn't written a blog post for today. That doesn't happen very often. Thankfully I have a pile of cards ready to be blogged. One day last week, I finished 9 cards in one day ~ I was rockin' and rollin'!!!
On today's card, I used the cute little Sixlet set from Lizzie Anne Designs called Playful Pals. Of course, I had to make a calico kitty because of my own little girl Ally.
Don't forget about Lizzie Anne's Anniversary sale this week ~ 40% off your order (not including retired or the Monthly Mix).
Also... this week LAD is sponsoring the Card Positioning Challenge over on the CPS Blog! The prize for the winner is our adorable Sweets and Treats stamp set. So head over to the CPS Blog to play along. You can see my version of the sketch on yesterday's post ~ HERE.

Clean and Simple
I thought I'd share a super simple 5 minute card with you today. To add some texture to the simple flower image, I inked it up and then lightly stamped it on an embossed piece of paper to make the dots. It's an easy-peasy technique that you can see HERE. All of the images are from the July Monthly Mix by Lizzie Anne Designs.
And now for some Lizzie Anne news...
This week is their anniversary & they are having a big, HUGE, spectacular Anniversary Sale this week ~ 40% off your entire order! (Does not include retired or Monthly Mix stamps). This is the biggest sale they have ever had...just a way of saying thanks to the loyal LAD Fans.
Here's what you need to do. After filling up your shopping cart with all your must-have Lizzie Anne Stamps, enter the following code on checkout: Anniversary

Lizzie Anne Designs & the CPS Sketch Challenge
Hello Peeps ~ It's Sunday and I don't usually post a big long thing on this day of the week; however, today Lizzie Anne Designs is sponsoring the CPS weekly sketch so I just had to play along!
So here is the sketch for this week. Now I thought the notch on the left side of the sketch was rather interesting, but rather than cut it out, I made it a hinge for my card.
So here is my version of the sketch.... It's an ice cream gift card holder. You just pull the ribbon forward to open the card.

And finally, here is the inside of the card with the gift card.
Now don't forget to play along on the sketch and leave your link over at the CPS site because there is a fabulous prize involved. In fact, it's this fun set called Sweets & Treats! And look at this fun matching digital paper by Lizzie Anne Designs ~ also called Sweets & Treats Digital Paper Pack.

Color Throwdown Day!
Today is a big day!!!! The Color Throwdown site is celebrating their 100th post today and two of my teams are sponsoring some wonderful prizes for the celebration ~ i{heart}papers & Our Craft Lounge!
So here are the colors for the challenge ~ and don't worry if you don't have these exact colors, anything close will work just fine.
And here is what I came up with for the challenge today! I used a few scrapbooking sets from Our Craft Lounge called Love Notes & Life is. The green color is a little more of an olive than celery, but the red, baja and rose are all in there.

Ever have one of those days...
YESTERDAY was "one of those days"!!!! Mo & Jo totally left the building and I seriously hated everything I put together. In fact, the card shown above is the third or fourth revision ~ I lost track. UGH!
Anyway, I used the weekly sketch challenge for Lizzie Anne Designs and the images are from the July Monthly Mix called Simply Sweet.
Here's hoping I've got some creative juices flowing today! Wish me luck!

A Creative MESS!
I am SOOOOOOOOOO excited about this fun page. When the Lizzie Anne girls showed us this new single image "Creative Mess" a few months ago, I knew I really wanted to make a scrapbook page with it because I seriously explode when I am scrapbooking. The sentiment is PERFECT for me!
So last week when I was creating my Yellowstone mini album, I looked around and saw the mess I was making and decided to take some pictures. However, I must admit, I made a far bigger mess when I made this scrapbook page, I probably should have taken a new picture for this page.
Stamps Used ~ Lizzie Anne Designs (Creative Mess single; background images from various Monthly Mixes: Something to Crow About (Sept '09), Harvest of Memories (Oct '09); Singing in the Rain (Feb '10); Simply Sweet (July '10).
