LOL! That is the first thing I thought of when I saw the martian stamp. I really love how this card turned out & was so fun to put together because of all the matching embellishments. The paper is a new school line from KI Memories and is a perfect match to the new color Kiwi Kiss by Stampin' Up!

Today I had a great time creating new things! What a total relief it was too. My mojo was completely gone last week and I really needed to get some projects done. Fortunately, I had all day to play and I CAN'T WAIT to show you what I came up with. Unfortunately, I will have to wait to show everyone until October 1st!

Giddy Up in Pink Paisley...

I just love how the dry embossing turned out on this cute card. I used my Cuttlebug with the paisley embossing plate on Pixie Pink cardstock. Then I took my white craft ink pad and lightly went over the top of the embossing. It makes the embossing stand out a bit more. It's super easy & I love the look.

Recipe Flipper File

My goodness I am so late in posting today. I was beat last night and had to take my son to the dentist first thing this morning. It's only 1:30pm and I feel like I could crawl in bed and take a nap (and I never take naps).

Anyway, I wanted to share the project I have for my upcoming class. It's a Recipe holder using a fun little Maya Roads calendar stand.

It came with 12 tabbed dividers but I took 8 of them out and just used 4 and the cover. The other 8 dividers, I will use for another class. Then I made recipe cards and punched them at the top to fit between the tabs.

For the stand, I painted the areas that would be exposed (and the inside) with a pretty mossy green acrylic craft paint. After that was dry, I attached the pattern paper to the stand with Modge Podge. Make sure you coat the stand with Modge Podge both before and after you put the paper on it; otherwise, it gets too many bubbles in the pattern paper. For my class I will use current alphabet stamps, but I didn't have mine yet & needed to get the sample done.

YeeHaw! It looks like our little cowboy has a girlfriend! Pretty cute huh? The cowboy is sold both as a single and in the Little People set, the cowgirl is part of the Giddyup Girl set & the Howdy sentiment is sold as a single. They just match perfectly together!

This is the last of my robot cards ~ he is a fun little guy to color & that Cogsmo paper from Cosmo Cricket just couldn't match any better.

Sophie G ... en pointe

I love the ballet... I took dance for 7 years and then was a choreographer for a local youth group for a few years. Those were fun times. Mikhail Baryshnikov with the American Ballet Theatre was my favorite. When I was 16 years old, my best friend Christy and I, had the honor of seeing him dance. I think we were in the last row of the theatre, but he was still amazing.

Anyway, today's creation isn't nearly as spectacular as watching Baryshnikov dance. However, it is inspired by something special. The proceeds from this sweet little stamp will benefit a very special young lady who just happens to love dance and moose. Her name is Kelly Laude and she is in the battle of her life fighting childhood cancer. You can purchase this stamp either from the Hanna Stamps website or Eclectic Paperie starting tomorrow, Friday, September 5th.

So who's coming for dinner? Now that would be a fun night! I just love this new Hanna Stamps set called Kiss the Cook. Yes, I have used it three days in a row, but I was completely inspired by this one & just had to keep going.

Several years ago, my husband and I hosted an Italian Dinner Party for a large group of friends. We served and they had to order their dinner ~ from an Italian menu. They even had to order their knife, fork, spoon, and a toothpick for good measure. They had 4 courses and had to pick three items for each course ~ it was a hoot to see what they ended up with. My favorite was when one person got a toothpick, soup and ice cream for their first course.

Hanna's Grocery List

We all need to find ways to stay organized in our busy lives. For me, going shopping without a list isn't a good thing. I will either forget something important and/or I will buy way too much stuff that I really don't need!

I found this giant chipboard tag at the local scrapbook store a few months ago. It came with the pad of paper, the clothes pin and a magnet for the back. I had no idea what I would use it for at the time, but when this assignment came up ~ my first thought was to use it for a grocery list & have the clip to hold coupons. Now if only I would remember to take them with me and use them! Once again, I've used the new Hanna Stamps set called Kiss the Cook (I told you I had more to show you ~ and I still do).

New From Hanna...Kiss the Cook!

This is one of my very favorite Hanna sets to date! She was so fun to use on these little cooking and baking items and you'll see more of this set in the days to come (I had lots of ideas with this set). The picture above is a little baking notebook ~ it would be great for favorite recipes or grocery lists. The pattern paper is from Creative Imaginations & the cute charm is from Karen Foster Designs.

After I made the notebook, there was still more I wanted to do with these colors and supplies. So I thought a little gift card & some little bread tags would would be fun {I even had a loaf of sweet bread in the freezer to use as a prop ~ LOL}.

Just Married...

I think this little car is an adorable image! Do you see all the bling on this card? I added touches of glitter with my atyou Spica Glitter pens ~ I love how it turned out. This is the last of my wedding items for this assignment. Here's a shot of the pieces together ~

Wedding Thank You Cards

These easy little postcards were created based on an idea from my friend Michelle Wooderson. She is such a smart girl! She makes note cards all the time & I think they are just brilliant. So when I was putting together this wedding ensemble, I thought they would be a perfect addition. After all the showers and the actual wedding are over, there are always lots of thank you notes to write. These are easy to make & can be done in a large quantity. I have a wedding coming up in October... can you guess what the gift will be for the bride and groom?

Table for Two...

Here are a few more items from my August Lizzie Anne assignment. While I was planning out this assignment, I decided I wanted to focus on more than just wedding cards. So I thought of all the things a bride-to-be would want to include for her big day ~ so table place cards came to mind. These were actually very easy to put together and didn't take long at all. I wouldn't want to make 200 of them, but they might be fun for the bridal party table, a shower or a small reception.

Wedding Bells...

This month my assignment for Lizzie Anne Designs was their super cute wedding set called Gettin' Hitched. What a fun set to use and there are tons of great images included. A few months ago I made some wedding cards and used a beautiful icy blue color called Aqua Mist from Papertrey Ink. I was just stuck on these gorgeous colors and decided to use them once again.

The shower card is actually a window card and the image is attached on the inside. Can you see the glitter? You gotta add some bling to wedding cards ~ it's a must!
