Inchie Friday ~ August & September Calendar Pages!

Happy Friday ~ Yes, it's that time again! It's Inchie Friday. Today I have a few more pages of my calendar project to show you. I've been pushing hard to finish up this project so I can show you all the pages. I really enjoy looking at this calendar on my work table.

As I have been working on this calendar, I've been selecting some of my favorite pictures to include & this one of my daughter is an absolute favorite. I paired it with one of my favorite Itty Bitty images (the dragonfly) on a white Inchie square. I embossed the dragonfly in vanilla pigment ink and then added several colors to the entire square with my Copic markers. Then I added just a few drops of Copic blending solution on top so the colors would run and make a cool pattern. It was a fun little experiment!

For the next picture, I used a back to school shot ~ it's my September page after all!

God Bless the USA...

Today my project uses some great new products from Lizzie Anne Designs ~ God Bless the USA single stamp and the Stars and Stripes Digital Paper Kit. They are GORGEOUS & perfect for the 4th of July Holiday or cards to our military heroes!

Have you seen the Lizzie Anne digital paper packs yet. They are such a great deal at $2.99 for either 8 1/2" x 11" or 12"x12". Perfect for your digital projects or for printing out and using on cards and scrapbook pages. I love them! You won't run out of your favorite pattern anymore because you can print as much as you want. Need a different shade of red or blue to match your cardstock ~ no problem! Is the pattern a little bit too big for your small card ~ not an issue because you can resize it! I'll tell ya, digital paper is PERFECT!

Happy Birthday Matt!

This is one of my very favorite birthday pictures of my son Matt ~ Just look at those great dimples! This photo was taken 2 years ago in Juneau, Alaska on his 8th birthday. We took a 2 week cruise and land tour up there & on this special day, we went dog sledding on the summer sleds, talked to a musher, and enjoyed a gorgeous day in the Alaskan forests. What a way to spend your birthday! I love ya babe!

OK ~ on to my project for the day!

I have yet another creation from the Lizzie Anne Designs set called Garden Inspirations ~ can you tell that it's my very favorite set? Between the set and the digital paper pack ~ it's so easy to create with this wonderful pair of products!

For the digital paper, I used Photoshop Elements to change the color of the paper from a rose color to orange. I love being able to change the colors and scale of the designs.

Birthday Fun...

I realize that I usually have projects to show you everyday; however, today I really want to share some photographs of our weekend at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. This amusement park is my son's favorite place in the entire world & we celebrated his birthday while we were there, which is actually tomorrow. I usually don't take my camera into the park because I don't want to deal with it ~ too busy riding the coasters. However, I decided I really wanted to try and get some good shots this trip & I was very pleased with the outcome.

Max Air ~ The ultimate high-flying spin ride!

I'll be back tomorrow with a project ~ hope you didn't mind the break today!

Happy Everything...

That is one of my very favorite sentiments for a card...

This project uses some fun products by Lizzie Anne Designs. The stamp sets are Garden Inspirations and the wonderful Say it Script sentiment set. The gorgeous pattern paper is also from Lizzie Anne Designs and is also called Garden Inspirations Digital Paper Packs.

Short and sweet ~ that's it for today. I'm working on just a few hours of sleep after a very busy weekend of being at Cedar Point. I'll have to post some of my photographs later this week ~ got some cool ones!

Inchie Friday ~ Beautiful Blooms

My neighbor came over with these lovely Peony blooms the other day & they were so gorgeous that I HAD to take a picture of them. When I saw how nice the picture turned out, I decided to make a scrapbook page with it for my Inchie Friday project.

I also love this stamp image from Lockhart & eventhough it isn't an itty bitty image, I really wanted to use it with my Inchie squares. I simply covered four Inchie squares with pink cardstock, stamped the image on white & then colored it in. Next I cut the stamped image into four squares and put them on top of the Inchie squares. Once the squares were finished, I added a solid black mat to the back so it would pop off the page.

Here are a few more shots I took around the garden the other day...

Have a great weekend ~ we are off to Cedar Point!

A Special Day & LAD Sketch ...

Today is a special day! My husband and I are celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary ~ I told him that we aren't old enough to have been married that long! Anyway, here we are on June 3, 1989 ~ Dang we look young!

Now on to my project for today. It's time for a new Lizzie Anne Sketch! I was working on my June assignments yesterday & decided to pull up the current sketch challenge.
I used my favorite Lizzie Anne set called Garden Inspiration & the matching Digital Paper Pack. I love working with the Digital Papers because you can change the colors and scale down the sizes for cards. I pretty much kept to the sketch, except for the ribbon on the sketch. I decided to use a button and tied a bow on it with linen thread.

Teacher Appreciation Cards...

I hope you all enjoyed the fun blog hop yesterday! So today I'm back with more of cards I made during my marathon stamping session this past weekend using the Bookworm set by Our Craft Lounge. As I mentioned yesterday, my daughter wanted to give notes to each teacher she had over the past 7 years.

To make this stamping session go a bit faster, I stamped out all my images in black ink, colored them all at the same time and then used my Nestabilities to die cut the shapes. Then I went to work on putting a variety of card bases together. The stamped images are all pretty similar, but the different pattern paper scraps and ribbons make them look so much different.

To introduce everyone, we are all doing a blog hop today! But don't go anywhere just yet because I still have lots to show you today.

I needed to make some teacher gifts this weekend since my kids finish up school this Tuesday. Nothing like waiting until the last minute! So I pulled out my favorite new OCL set called Bookworm! It's just perfect for teacher gifts & it just happens to be the OCL Spotlight Set of the Week for this week!

When I started stamping this gift set, I really wasn't sure how it would end up. I had lots of ideas going, but I'm thrilled with the final projects. I made these great lunch type gift bags with little tags on them (I LOVE THEM!).

Then I made little note tins that are filled with cut up pieces of notebook paper for scrap paper. Two of the tins read, "Note of Thanks" & the other two tins I made say, "Just a Note".

These are the Thank You cards I made to go with the cute little ensemble. I love the lined & scalloped notebook paper by Creative Imaginations & the Cursive pattern paper from Imaginsce.

Also in the teachers bags are some gift card holders. Along with the Bookworm set, I also used the solid apple from the set called Swingin' By ~ it's a great addition to this gift card holder.

I've been working in the school library all year, so I decided to make a little gift for the librarian too. She is so much fun to work with. We have not only gotten a lot done this year, but we had a good time in the process! Rather than a card, I made a bookmark and wrote on the back.

Not only did I get all this stuff made on Sunday, but I also made 13 teacher Thank You cards! My dear daughter is graduating 6th grade and wanted to give cards to ALL of her teachers over the last 7 years ~ OH MY! I'll share those cards later this week.

Well... are ya still with me? I have just a few more quick announcements.
There is a fun new June Sketch Challenge over on the OCL Forums ~ join in, we'd love to see what you come up with! And, there is a new OCL 5 + 1 Swap for all you talented swappers out there! Go take a look!
OK ~ NOW you can go hop along to all the other designers blogs!
