Project 52 ~ Week #18

Hey There Crafty Friends!  Taking a quick break today from my WITL projects to share my usual Wednesday post for my Project 52.  Once again, I've created this page in the Project Life App.  This time I used the Amy Tangerine Plus One Mini Kit for my cards.  I also used the Just Add Color Photo Overlays kit on several of my photos.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope to have another WITL post for tomorrow... if I can get the pictures taken and edited. :)

Week in the Life ~ Day #2 Monday

Hi Friends!  I'm back today with another set of pages for Day #2 of my Week in the Life album.  I purchased the Ali Edwards Week in the Life Kit {WITL} and I also used supplies from the monthly Ali Edwards Story Kits & Story Sets, additional Ali Edwards stamp setsAli Edwards WITL digital templates, and stamps & project life cards from Studio Calico.

FYI - Today I'm sharing the photos of these pages.  There are lots more product details on my post from yesterday.

I did a lot more writing on my photos this year using a Slick Writer.

To see more from this album, with more details, check out this link.

Week in the Life ~ Day #1 Sunday

Woohoo!  After several weeks of working on this album, my Week in the Life project is finally FINISHED! It took longer than I anticipated, but it is DONE and I am so happy with it!  I really enjoyed doing this project, but just like December Daily, once a year is enough for me.

I purchased the Ali Edwards Week in the Life Kit {WITL} with the pretty polka-dot album.  I have never done this project, so I decided to get the kit so I would have some direction and I really liked the supplies that were included. In addition to the kit, I also used supplies from the monthly Ali Edwards Story Kits & Story Sets, additional Ali Edwards stamp sets, Ali Edwards WITL digital templates, and stamps & project life cards from Studio Calico.

I made my project cover page using a photo I took and added the digital element in Photoshop Elements along with the date.

My Sunday cover is another photo I took and then I added WITL 4x6 Layered Templates.  I added the text "Around the Yard" and changed the date.

The set up for each day is set up much the same way. The transparency divider that has a "Sunday" tab at the top. The "SUN", house icon and wood veneer "Sunday" were all part of the kit.

I purchased the 3"x 8" page protectors and used them for my daily journaling.  I added the box at the top for each day along with the date using the Digital kit called Daily Story Boxes.  Once printed and cut, I took a marker and added some color to the box.

On the other side of the 3" x 8" age, I added the "morning/afternoon/evening" card.  I stamped some of the major times for each day to highlight a few things that happened.  The large "S" is from the Ali Edwards 2015 December Daily Kit & I stamped the date on it.  The "Sunday" and "In Review" stamps are from Studio Calico.

The sweet picture of my pup is a single 4x6 photo that I added to cardstock and then another photo on the back.

Elements used on the pages below were all from the WITL Kit.

The page on the right is from a WITL layered templates - Volumn 3

The next two pages are also from a WITL layered templates - Volumn 3

I used a photo that I took that day as my back cover to finish up Sunday.

I'll be back tomorrow to share my next set of pages from my WITL project.  Have a great day!

Let's Climb The Falls!

I'm getting close to the end of posting the pages from our 2013 Spring Break Album that I finished up earlier this year.  The pages today were from climbing the Dunns River Falls in Jamaica.  This day was such fun!!

For my pages, I continued using the You Are Here collection from Simple Stories.

Stamp set below ~ Ali Edwards Messy Circles.

Gotta LOVE photo editing!!  Below is the original photo taken. See that ugly, very distracting sign above my daughter's head?  Look in the layout above ... POOF... it's gone thanks to Photoshop Elements.

I used my typewriter to add the journaling (realizing after the fact that I misspelled a word ~ oh well).

Thanks for stopping by today!

Project 52 ~ Week #17

Today I have another page for my Project 52 Album.  Last week I wasn't very motivated to take photos or document a whole bunch of stuff.  It was the week after completing my Week in the Life project & I wasn't feelin' it.  BUT... I pushed onward and did get some stories told from this week.   For this page, I used the Prismatic Edition kit in the Project Life App for my page.

The photo of the huge fire was just a few miles from our home & it was taken by a drone from our local sheriff department.  We didn't have any smoke issues in our neighborhood because the winds were blowing it a different direction; however, it did cause issues at several of the schools in our district (including the high school where my son goes).  So much so that the kids were sent home early on Thursday & didn't have classes at all on Friday ~ so that's the deal with that photo.

Have a Wonderful Day!

Spring Break 2013 ~ Hello Paradise

Today I'm sharing another page from our trip album from Spring Break 2013.  The adventures of this day were in Jamaica & climbing the Dunns River Falls.  THIS WAS A BLAST!

For my page, I used the You Are Here Collection from Simple Stories.  This collection is so easy to use and has been perfect for this trip.  All of the elements used on this page were part of the 12x12 paper kit & most of the elements at the bottom of the page were pre-printed on the patterned paper.  I also added the date stamp and stamped the location of where we were.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Spring Break 2013 ~ Starfish Beach

Today I'm finishing up the Grand Cayman pages from our Spring Break 2013 trip.  We ended our fun boating adventure with a stop at Starfish Beach.

I used the You Are Here Collection from Simple Stories along with several stamps from Ali Edwards.

Spring Break 2013 ~ Swimming with the Stingray

Hello Hello!  It's FRIDAY... WOOHOO!  I hope your week has been awesome.  Mine has been busy and sadly, I haven't had time to get into my studio for a few weeks to make more pages.  I'm hoping to get in there in the next few days and enjoy a little scrappy time!

My pages today are once again from our stingray swimming adventure in Grand Cayman.  This was a fun day trip & I'm so glad to be able to capture the memories & stories in my pages.  This is why I scrapbook!

I used a variety of supplies on my pages ~ stamps from Ali Edwards (Surprise Story Set) and Technique Tuesday; dies from Taylored Expressions; and the Simple Stories (We Are Here Collection).  I love how both of these pages turned out.

Have a Wonderful Weekend!

Ali Edwards Story Kit ~ Stingray Surprise

Hello my friends & happy Thursday!  Once again, today's page of the day features some fun photos from our 2013 Spring Break vacation.  This time we were in Grand Cayman and we went on a great adventure to swim with the stingray.  To highlight these photos, I used the Ali Edwards Surprise Story Stamp Set, as well as a few other Ali Edwards stamp set that I have in my stash.  I've been collecting Ali's stamp sets for a very long time & have a bunch of her old Technique Tuesday sets.  I also added some cork elements from Studio Calico.

I {heart} this stingray smiley face!

Stamps from the Surprise Story Set ~ this is a month subscription; however, this set is available as a digital version in her shop.

I've been prepping my WITL album the last few days by printing all of my journaling and photos.  I think I'm finally ready to dive in and make it pretty!  I hope to be able to share it with you very soon... but in the mean time, I hope you enjoy these pages as I reminisce about this wonderful vacation.

Have a Great Day!

Spring Break 2013 ... Continued

Since I've been working on my Week in the Life project for the last week or so, I haven't really pulled out or worked on anything else.  I have finished all of my front and back cover pages, as well as all of the journaling pages.  Now I just need to pull everything together, which is proving to be somewhat time consuming. Therefore, I decided to pull out some pages from our 2013 Spring Break cruise that I finished earlier this year that I haven't shared yet.

For these pages, I used the Simple Stories kit called Posh.  I thought the colors in this kit were fun with Megan's dress and I made some full 12x12 layouts from this same evening ~ Here & Here.

Super fun memories of this trip :)

Have a Fabulous Day!!

Project 52 ~ Week #16

Well here we are... another week completed.  I can honestly say that I probably wouldn't be doing this Project 52  album if it wasn't for using the Project Life App ~ or it wouldn't be caught up.  I love scrapbooking with physical product, but I would have a very hard time staying caught up.   This page was made with the Dear Lizzy Daydreamer kit in the App.

This week is also the period of time that I'm doing Week in the Life ~ so you'll see lots more pages using the Ali Edwards WITL kit coming very soon.  I've already printed all of my 6x8 front and back daily covers & my daily summary journaling is complete and printed as well.  Now I just need to get started on the rest of the pages.

Have a Great Day!

Documenting Marching Band 2015

Today I am featuring more pages from my son's 2015 Marching Band Album.  These have been fun albums to put together over the years.  So far I've done 4 years for my daughter and this is the second year for my son.  I need to get this one finished so I can start his junior year since his senior year of band will begin this summer. Dang!  It's all happening way too fast.  As I'm getting his pages done, I'm trying to add more color and use different elements because after 6 albums (with 2 more to go), only using green, white and black is getting a bit boring.  ðŸ˜ƒ

For this first page, I used kraft cardstock with bits and pieces of Doodlebug paper scraps and letter stickers from my stash. I added staples using the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher and then stamped the date. Easy Peasy!

The chipboard letters on this title block are from American Crafts Thickers.  I continued with the little round letter stickers from my stash and some think black and white washi tape.  Pretty simple page once again.

These Pebbles Inc letter stickers are a personal favorite and I use them a lot on pages.  I added the zig zag border from a Taylored Expressions die and typed out the journaling on the typewriter.  The green arrows are from Doodlebug.

My final page today uses supplies from the Elle's Studio March kit.  This is a monthly subscription; however, you can purchase the kit for a few dollars more without subscribing.  I decided to buy one to see if I liked the quality.  I do like it, but decided not to subscribe right now because I have so many other supplies to use up & I'm a little bit behind.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Marching Band Pages ~ 2015

Good Morning Friends!  So happy that Friday is finally here.  I'll be honest, I haven't really done any layouts this week because I've been so focused on documenting my Week in the Life Project.  So I thought I'd share several project life style layouts from Matt's marching band book.

For these pages, I used a combination of products from my Hip Kits and Ali Edwards stamps & phrase stickers.

Have a fabulous weekend!
