Crafter's Companion Pop-Out Create-A-Card

Hi All... I've been a bit quiet on the blog.  Sorry about that, but this time of year is a bit crazy for me with marching band and design assignments.  You'll see tons of stuff on my blog next week (which is part of why my blog is quiet this week).

Today I thought I'd share a pop-out card that I made for the HSN show earlier this month using the Die'sire Create-A-Card Christmas Fireside Die and some embossing folders from the Textures and Nordic Christmas Collection.

Christmas Stepper Card

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!  For my card today, I used Die'sire dies from Crafter's Companion.  These fun Edge'able Dies - Christmas Garden & Let It Snow are super fun to use for stepper cards.   I simply made a regular card base and then scored & attached the stepper card to the front of the card.

Custom Gift Boxes

Hi Friends!  Today I thought I'd share this fun project I made for HSN a few weeks ago.  Crafter's Companion shared a new Christmas Cardstock pack on the show and I used the papers along with my Ultimate Tool to create this gift box stack.  I love using the Boxer Board with my Ultimate Tool because you can make any size or type of box you want.  I topped my stack of boxes with the Jingle Bells Classique Die.

Taylored Expressions: Share Joy Challenge #7

Hi Friends!  Today I'm sharing a new Taylored Expressions card for this week's Share Joy Challenge {see challenge graphic below}

I used the Sunflower Bouquet with the coordinating die for my challenge card.  I stamped it on Watercolor paper and then used my Spectrum Aqua Markers and a waterbrush to color the image.

Season's Greetings Edge'ables by Crafter's Companion

Hi Peeps & Happy Friday!  Yippeeeee ~ I can't wait for the weekend to start so I can see my awesome band kids perform tomorrow.  It will be a long busy weekend, but it's all worth it!

For my Friday card, I have a new Christmas Step Easel card that I made using the Edge'ables Christmas Words Collection - Season's Greetings die.  The cardstock is the beautiful Shimmer Cardstock in Rose Pearl, Pink Pearl and Coastal Pearl.   For the tree, I used the Pearl White Shimmer Cardstock and trimmed it with the Die'sire Classiques - Seasonal Tree Die and embossed it with Let it Snow Embossilicious folder.

Taylored Expressions Christmas Village

I love when I find a card on my desk that I forgot to blog!  LOL!  I made this for the Taylored Expression October Release a few weeks ago and decided to wait to share it since I had so many projects that week.    I used the new Eventful - Night Before Christmas die along with the fun new Holly Embossing Folder {links below}

To perfectly frame my piece, I used the Frame in Frame Cutting Plate (one of my favorite Go-To items).

Today I'm using the lovely Wild Blooms stamp set by Gina K Designs.  There are such gorgeous images and sentiments this set!  I used this awesome set with my Spectrum Aqua Markers and Spectrum Watercolor Paper for my super simple card.

Crafter's Companion on HSN TODAY!

Woohooo!  At long last, today is the day!  Sara Davies the co-founder of Crafter's Companion is on HSN today starting at 7AM!!!   I've been working on projects for this show since August, so I'm super excited to see everything on air today.  I love the 24­hour craft days! She’s got lots of fabulous demonstrations planned with Crafter’s Companion US products, so don’t miss her!

Here are a few projects you might see on the show!  My first one is a little basket from the Crafter's Inspiration Magazine.  I used disk that comes with the magazine along with The Ultimate Tool {which by the way they are selling an exclusive new Ultimate today & it is sparkly purple}. 

For my next project, I used the Die'sire Fancy Christmas Edge'ables - Bethlehem die.  These dies are so fun because you can use them in so many different ways.  For this project, I made a window card.

Gina K Inspiration Blog Hop Day #3

Today I'm using the lovely Wild Blooms stamp set by Gina K.  There are such gorgeous images and sentiments this set!  Below is a tutorial I put together using this awesome set with my Spectrum Aqua Markers and Spectrum Watercolor Paper.  I know this is a really odd color combination, but it seems to work... kind of still wondering about it.  

Step 1: Select a variety of Spectrum Aqua Markers for the stems and flowers.  Using the brush tip of the Moss marker, color directly on the stamp.

NOTE: Make sure you only do this with water based markers NOT alcohol ink markers.

Step 2: Add Terracotta to the large flowers.

TIP: When coloring a detailed image on a clear stamp like this one, it is super handy to have a picture of the image you are coloring to refer to while coloring.  If your stamp doesn't have a good image that came with it, simply stamp it on a piece of scrap paper.

Step 3: Use the Jasmine marker to color the sprigs of wild flowers.

NOTE: You don't need to be too picky on your coloring, the beautiful Spectrum Aqua Markers with water will spread and blend.

Step 4: Finish the flowers with the Aquamarine marker.

NOTE: The ink may pool on the clear stamps, don't worry about it.  Once you hit it with a bit of water, it will blend.

Step 5: Spritz the watercolor paper with water once with a fine mist.

Step 6: Add a fine mist to your stamp from about 10" away, and then immediately stamp the image on the damp watercolor paper.

Step 7: Use a heat embossing tool to dry the ink and paper.  Here's a close up of my image.

Taylored Expressions Release Day: Eventful - Holiday!

It's RELEASE DAY for Taylored Expressions!  WOOHOO!  The October release is always filled with tons of fun Christmas products and this year is no exception.  I'm sure you've found several items to add to your wish list.

My project today features the new Eventful - Night Before Christmas die along with the Eventful - Holidays Stamp set.  These great products are perfect for any type of holiday party invitation.
