New Whimsy Release ~ Meet Star!

Happy Monday Friends!   Today Whimsy & Stars Studios has another new sweet release and her name is Star!  Isn't she adorable???  The design team girls have created some wonderfully sweet creations to share today so hop on over to the Whimsy & Stars Studios Blog to see all of them....

On the Whimsy and Stars Studio's Blog we are celebrating Christmas with a Two-Week Christmas Card Challenge.  Participants featuring a card using a Whimsy and Stars Studio digi stamp will receive an extra vote.    The Challenge will last until Monday, December 30th, 2013 (7:00 pm, Eastern Time) and winner will be announced on Tuesday, December 31st, 2013.

A Little Christmas Whimsy

Hi there friends!  Are you keeping warm?  It's soooooooooooo freezing cold here in Northern Indiana.  Brrrrrr!  Well I'm here today with a sweet little Christmas card using a wonderful image called Winter Friends from Whimsy & Stars Studios!   Total sweetness don't ya think???   I decided to go with a bit of a different color palette ~ because I love kraft cardstock so very much!

I colored this fun image with my Spectrum Noir markers ~ DR1, DG1, DG2, DG4, EB3, EB5, EB5, IG1, TN2, TN3, FS2, FS3, DG6.  The pattern paper is from My Mind's Eye (Vintage Christmas) and the sentiment is from Crafter's Companion (Happy Holidays).

Sweet Little Lucy Mouse

Whimsy & Stars Studios New Release!

Today, Whimsy & Stars Studios has a fun new release for the holiday season!  The new image is called Christmas Snowman he is ADORABLE!  In addition, there are a two new sentiments being released called Christmas Wishes ~ Merry Christmas & Let It Snow are the sentiment included.

For my project today, the designers were challenged to make tags & I decided to use some unconventional Christmas colors and make the snowman PINK.  I think it turned out super sweet.  The pattern papers are from My Mind's Eye (a collection I found at Hobby Lobby) and the ribbons and trims are from Stampin' Up!. 

 I colored my image with my Spectrum Noir Markers ~ PP2, PP3, PP4, PP5, CR1, OR2, IG1, IG3, IG4, IG6, BT1, BT9, DG2.  And below you can see where I added glitter & white flock to the colored image.  Super sweet little guy huh?

Whimsy & Stars Studios ~ So Thankful!

We are knee deep into fall and I have a perfect seasonal card to share today using a wonderful image from Whimsy & Stars Studios called Blessed Harvest.  

I paper pieced each part of the image with a different pattern paper.  It's super easy to do!

Step 1: Print your image on cardstock.
Step 2: Select several coordinating patterns from one collection ~ the one I selected above is from Farmhouse Paper Company (Sugar Hill Collection).
Step 3: Lightly adhere, with a removable adhesive, a small piece of pattern paper over the portion of the image you want it to print.  Feed it through your printer again. (Note: you may need to change papers and run it through the printer several times depending on the number of patterns you choose to select.)
Step 4: Remove the pattern paper & rub off any excess adhesive.  Trim the cardstock image with a die cut shape.
Step 5: Trim each image from the pattern papers and attach them to the printed cardstock.  BOOM... DONE!  Pretty Easy huh?

ETA: The brown background panel was made with brown Bazzill cardstock and an embossing folder.

Hi Friends!  Today Mabelle R.O. from Whimsy and Stars Studios has another adorable image to release for the upcoming Christmas season.  The image name is Snowy and she is available right now for instant download!  

The pattern papers are from My Mind's Eye (Mistletoe Magic) and I added some white flock to the sweet little snowgirl's coat on the trim.  The fun embossing folder is called Let It Snow from Crafter's Companion.

Whimsy Day... Silly Candy Corn

Welcome to a new week!  Yesterday I had this Halloween card featured on the Whimsy & Stars Studios Blog.  I think this image called Silly Candy Corn is adorable!

I used Doodlebug's Halloween Collection called Haunted Manor for the pattern paper and colored my image with my Spectrum Noir Markers (OR1, OR2, OR3, CT2, CT3, CT4, LV3, IG1, Blender, CG1, CG3).  The orange and purple Goosebump gems (by Queen & Company) are in all four corners of the card and the last touch was to add some orange flock to the little fuzzy pom poms on the candy corn, and some purple flock to the spots on the balloons.

Pretty Fall Sunflowers

Hi Friends!  I'm here today with a "sunny hello"... and just have to say how thrilled I am to be back on the Whimsy & Stars Studios team again for the Fall Term.  I can't wait to share lots of fun projects with Mabelle's beautiful images.

My card today uses the Sunflower Teapot Digital image.  I colored my image with my Spectrum Noir Markers (colors listed below) and then paper pieced the teapot.  As a little added touch, I added dark brown flock to the center of each sunflower.

Whimsy & Stars Studio... I'm back!

Hi Friends!  Hope you're having a wonderful weekend so far. I'm excited to share that I am back on the Whimsy & Stars Studio Design Team for the Fall term.  The owner/illustrator, Mabelle Ramirez-Ortiz comes up with the most adorable images & I'm so honored she asked me to join her team again.

The super cute project I want to share today uses the adorable digi image called Acorns Pumpkin Teddy.  Isn't he fabulous?  It's super easy to paper pieced digital images.  I just printed the image on cardstock, then taped a piece of pattern paper over the part I wanted to paper piece and then printed it again & fuzzy cut the image ...VOILA!

I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color my sweet image:
