Say CHEEEEEESE!

Ahhhhh... a little time just to do whatever... that's kind of nice!  I pulled out one of my favorite Avery Elle stamp sets called Picture It along with a instant polaroid dies from My Favorite Things and whipped up this 5 minute {well maybe 10 minute} card.

The pattern paper, Dots & Washi Tape are from Doodlebug Designs and the ink is Memento Luxe.

Avery Elle Monthly Challenge

Welcome to Wednesday!  Today I have a pretty little card to share that I made using some of my favorite stamps from Avery Elle to play along in their Monthly Challenge.  The flowers are from the Petals and Stems set and they are cut out using the Petals & Stems Elle-ments matching dies.  The sentiment is from the Papel Picado Banners set.

The challenge this month is a photo inspiration challenge & I drew my inspiration from the colors of the photo.

Color Throwdown with some Avery Elle!

Today it's Color Throwdown Day and I'm happy and sad ... all at the same time.  WHY?  Well because I love my card and I've had such fun playing along this month, but today is the last Wednesday of August and I'm all done with my guest spot.

Anyway... my card today uses some gorgeous stamps and matching dies from Avery Elle called Petals & Stems.  This set is one of my favorites!  Oh....and for the sentiment I used the Papel Picado Banners set ~ isn't it fabulous!!!!  The pattern paper is from My Mind's Eye (Happier) and the inks are from Clear Snap & Memento Luxe.

Here is the fun color palette for this week!

Thanks so much to The Color Throwdown team for having me as a guest this month!
It's been a blast!

Along with the Color Throwdown, I also played along on the Avery Elle monthly challenge.
This month they are doing a sketch!

Avery Elle's June Challenge

With the month drawing to a close, I wanted to play along on the Avery Elle Challenge while I still could.  I ordered some fun new stamps and dies from them at the beginning of June, but found time to cracked them open just a few days ago.

The challenge this month is a sketch by designer Nina Yang {see below}.  The set and matching dies I used for my card are the Oh Yeah Clear Stamps & Dies. I love how the card turned out...so simple but super fun!

I took this photo because the sketch calls for circles {or other shapes} in the background.  Unfortunately, my photo above doesn't really capture the embossed circles, but they are fabulous in real life and this photo shows them a bit better.

Here's the sketch...

... and here is a view of the fun word bubbles all popped up.

Just a few more days to play along on this challenge ~ so get busy.

Supplies:
Stamps ~ Avery Elle (Oh Yeah Clear Stamps)

Word Bubble Dies ~ Avery Elle (Oh Yeah Ella-ments)

Avery Elle Monthly Challenge

OMW!  I love the new sets by Avery Elle Stamps & this one is called Petals & Stems.   My new sets arrived in the mail a week or so ago & I finally had a chance to ink them up this weekend.  So fun & TOTALLY MY STYLE!  Then I looked on the Avery Elle Blog and they have a photo inspiration challenge going on, so I decided to play along.

Here's how I made my card... For the weathered look background, I used a paintbrush and white acrylic paint and just lightly brushed the paint.  Since it is acrylic paint, it drys pretty fast, but I just set it aside while I stamped and embossed the flower and stems with pigment ink.  After I trimmed them out, I attached the stems to the card and popped up the flower with foam dots.  The sentiment is from the the All Squared Up set & I heat embossed that in the same dark blue that I used on the flower center.

Supplies:
Stamps: Avery Elle Stamps ~ Petals & Stems; All Squared Up
Cardstock ~ Bazzill

Ink ~ VersaMagic (Tea Leaves, Night Sky), Versa Color (Atlantic)
White Acrylic Paint

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I'm not really a St. Patrick's Day person, and I wasn't planning on posting a card today.  However, I started making this card with my new Avery Elle Stamps and it was green and had a "good luck" sentiments, so... here ya go!

I used the All Squared Up stamp set in two shades of green pigment ink and then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.  The clover is made from the tiny heart stamp in the  Framed Fonts set.  I just stamped it 3 times and drew in the stem.

Have a great weekend & tune in tomorrow for one of my favorite cards that I've made this week ~ LOL!
