Thursday Post #2: Last Day of LAD Sneak Peeks

Woohooo! More new stamps from Lizzie Anne Designs! Can you believe it? This is one of the best releases EVER!!! I'm totally in love with everything they put out this time!

The first set today is called So Much Love ~ OH WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE THE WHOLE THING!!!! It's fabulous! One of my fellow design team members, Joslyn Nielson designed this set & she did a beautiful job. You will be seeing lots more of this set here on my blog ~ but today, I just have the one card. Isn't this pattern paper CUTE!!! It's a new line by Heidi Grace.

The next four cards I have to share each use single sentiment stamps ~ birthday, get well, sympathy, and Valentine's Day. For this first card, I paired it up with images from the Party Animal set.

I wasn't thrilled with this card when I started it, but when I was done ~ I loved it. I used the leaf image from the Funky Floral set & paper from SEI.

This next card was pretty much a complete CASE (except the image) form a card I saw in Cards Magazine. The pattern paper is from Scenic Route & the fabulous ribbon is form Basic Grey.

And finally, my last card today is paired with an image from the So Much Love stamp set & the fun paper is by My Mind's Eye.
Don't forget to go check out the Lizzie Anne Blog for pictures of all the sets and more samples! Lots of eye candy there for sure!
Tonight at 6pm (Pacific time), there will be a Release party on the Lizzie Anne Forum ~ come on over and see what's happening!

Thursday Post #1: New Riley Stamps

OK ~ I FINALLY HAVE SOME LOVE FOR RILEY! Dang this little guy is cute! In addition to the new Hanna sets out this month, there are also two new Riley Moose stamps to add to your collection.

So can you tell that I am TOTALLY ADDICTED to pattern paper. I'm not sure I know how to make a card without it anymore. The paper both cards are from Scenic Route ~ different lines of course.

As soon as I saw this fun little workout Riley, I knew I wanted to use him with the Riley on the scale ~ LOL! So this card is a flat panel and then you swing the workout Riley up & he is seeing how much weight he lost! Hmmmm...I wonder if this is Sophie not Riley.

I'll be back at 7 am with post #2 of the day!

Wednesday Post #2: More from LAD

That would be Lizzie Anne Designs! Yes, it's time for another installment of new stamps! Woohooo ~ we love new stamps! You can see all the new sets and more samples on the Lizzie Anne blog ~ so make sure you go take a look {after you finish my post, of course}.

This is one of my very favorite sets this release ~ it's called Tutti Fruity! You just gotta love that name! This is such a happy card ~ the colors really make me smile {especially in the middle of winter}. This fun pattern paper is from DCWV.
I was having so much fun with this set, I decided to make another card with it. The image is actually only a single pear, but I used the masking technique and put two together to match the sentiment. The fun paper on this card is from October Afternoon.

My last sample for the day is from a new set called Things that Go! Perfect for little boys and I have to say it is super easy to color. The pattern paper is from Three Bugs in a Rug (cute name).

There is one other new set called In the Nursery ~ you can guess what's on that set. There are also two single stamps ~ a Knight that matches the Once Upon a Time set and & Supergirl that matches the Super Hero stamp. You can view all of these on the Lizzie Anne blog & will be available to purchase on Friday!

Well ~ that's it for today! Enjoy your browsing!

Wednesday Post #1: Don't Bug Me!!

LOL!!! I had to give my post that title today!

Anyway, this first sample is from a new Hanna set called Backyard Dwellers & yes, it's a bunch of bugs!!! You never know when you'll need a good bug image ~ seriously!

My second card today uses both Backyard Dwellers and Garden Hanna! Isn't she cute? I used a little flower sequin and a bead on her hat to add a little something.

These new sets will be available from Hanna Stamps on Friday, January 9th! Don't forget to peek over at Splitcoast Stampers and the design team blogs for tons of sneak peeks. Also, on Thursday evening, there will be a release party on the SCS forum.

Oh, and don't forget the Lizzie Anne Designs Release party on Thursday night over at the forums.

Tuesday Post #1: Good Morning to you...

Good morning to you...We're all in our places with bright shiney faces. Good Morning to you, Good moring to you! ~ Did your mom ever sing that to you in the morning? Mine did & every time I say, "Good Morning to you", that's what I think of ~ LOL!

OK ~ enough being silly and on with my post for the day! Today my projects highlight the cute new set from Hanna Stamps called Hay Hanna! This set will be available this Friday, January 9th.

When I first saw the set, I really loved the variety of animals that were included and thought it would be fun to make a little chipboard book for a child.

So if you include the name of the animals, you HAVE to include the noise they make ~ right? Whenever I hear the phrase "A cow say moo", I think of the Sandra Boyton book "Moo, Baa, La La La". Do you know that one? I have it memorized I read it to my son so many times ~ "A cow says moo, a sheep say baa, three little pigs say La, La, La. No, No you say, that isn't right, pigs say oink all day and night".... What is it with me going down memory lane today? So sorry, now back to my post ~

The next few pages ~ not thrilled with the coloring on the cat, but sometimes you just have to let it go.

Woohooo ~ cock-a-doodle-do! I really like how these pages came out! (No, I have not been drinking tonight ~ I'm just tired and punchy).

BUT WAIT ~ There's more! Yes, I have 2 more projects to share with you form the Hay Hanna set. The first is a fun little Howdy card and the last is a wooden tag.

Here it is in more detail ~

So that's all the fun for this morning! Goodness, I was silly on that post. Check back later today for my first sneak peeks of some fab new Lizzie Anne Designs sets!

Supplies: Stamps ~ Hanna Stamps (Hay Hanna); Cardstock ~ SU; Pattern Paper ~ Paper Studio; Ink ~ Palette & Copics; burlap fabric; Ribbon ~ SU; Nestabilities; Rubi Coil machine.

Sneak Peek Time for Hanna Stamps...

Happy Hanna Day! Today is day one of the January Sneak Peeks! I have some fun images using the new Garden Hanna set. There are some pretty sunflower stamps in this one & I love that!

My first card for today has a big gorgeous sunflower. They are some of my favorite flower images to use because I just love the colors of them. Notice the copper microbeads in the center of the sunflower ~ they are very easy to apply with some super sticky adhesive tape. Isn't the pattern paper PERFECT?!?! And guess what? I found it in my file of scraps ~ woohoo! It's an older pattern by Scenic Route & I thought it was perfect with these images. On the cocoa paper at the bottom of this card, I also dry embossed some leaves ~ but they didn't photograph very well. My husband gave me a cool light tent and photography lights for Christmas & I'm still learning how to use them.

My next card has a little bit of a surprise element on it ~ it's a flat panel card but it has a magnet closure on the little brown scallop card so just that little card on top opens. I like mixing it up a bit now and then!

Here's a shot of the inside ~ I used the smaller image of the sunflowers inside and included a sentiment to tie it all together. I love how this turned out.

I have so many projects to show you this week that my head is spinning! Lots more from Hanna Stamps and Lizzie Anne Sneak peeks will start tomorrow too. So stay tuned all week!

I'm a busy girl right now. You should see my To Do list ~ 2 new releases this week, CHA samples, projects for Stamp Club later this month, daily blogging, weekly design work, and I was asked to make invitations, programs, thank you notes and favors for a friend's wedding in March. Life is a bit crazy right now, but I'm not complaining ~ I HAVE THE BEST JOB EVER!!!!!! So if you don't see a lot of chit chat in my daily blog posts, don't be surprised!

As always ~ thanks so much for your support and comments!

Supplies Used: Stamps ~ Hanna Stamps (Garden Hanna); Cardstock ~ SU & Papertrey Ink; Pattern Paper ~ Scenic Route; Ink ~ Palette & Copics; Ribbon ~ Michaels; Buttons ~ SU; Nestabilities.

Unity Scrapbook Challenge...

Yes, today is Friday ~ BUT, I am not doing an Inchie page this week. Check back next Friday for my latest Inchie Arts creation.

This week I decided I HAD to play with some new stamps. Nothing but pure enjoyment today. I really love this new little indulgence of mine called Unity Stamps! I have been a very, very bad girl ~ but I just can't help it ~ they are so darn fun!

Amy C ~ a regular over on the the SCS Unity Forum, had a fun scrapbook challenge this week that I just HAD to participate in. So go take a look at her challenge (and give her some love while you're there)!

So here is my take on the sketch challenge. It wasn't exactly what I was going for, but it will do. Who knows, maybe I'll play with it a bit more. YEA RIGHT! I don't have time for that ~ it is what it is & that will just have to be good enough ~ LOL!!!

Supplies Used: Stamps ~ Unity Stamp Company (Kit of the Month - September, July 2008); Cardstock, Pattern Paper, Ink ~ SU; Title ~ Cricut (Opposites Attract); Rub-ons: Making Memories; Brads ~ Doodlebug.

Saying Thank You!

Happy New Year!!!!

WOW ~ talk about feeling the LOVE & Blog HUGS yesterday! I had comments, emails, cards, Facebook messages and one of my blog followers was sweet enough to send me an e-card!
You are all THE BEST!!!

I LOVE to blog; however, sometimes I wonder if it really inspires anyone ~ well you all let me know yesterday that what I'm doing is totally worth it! Thank You!

So to stick with the Thank You theme, I thought I would show you a gift I made one of my Library team leaders. After 7 years of serving with me in the library ministry at church, she decided to step down. She has many wonderful things going on in her life and I am so excited for her. I purchased a little Thank You Willow Tree Angel & made the gift wrap and card combo for the packaging. I used one of my favorite Stampin' Up! retired sets called Live the Dream.

Don't forget to say Thanks to someone special in your life today!
