Totally TWEET!

I love decorating gift bags and this one is extra TWEET! I used the Tweet Thang stamp set from Our Craft Lounge. This is a super easy but fun touch for any gift giving occasion. After coloring the sweet little bird, I added some Cotton Candy Pink Sparkly Fluff to the bird's wing and cheek. Then stamping the simple flower as a background is super easy, but adds a great finished look to the bag.

Supplies from i{heart}papers: Stamps ~ Our Craft Lounge (Tweet Thang); Ink ~ Palette (Noir); Copic Markers (R81, R85, Y15); Sparkly Fluff ~ OCL (Cotton Candy Pink).

Lizzie Anne Sketch Challenge!

Today I played along on the weekly LAD Sketch Challenge #129 & used the Merry Marine Sixlet set. I paired the set up it up with the background image from In the Background & the waves from The Great Outdoors.

After stamping the blue waves on the white cardstock, I stamped the submarine image in black. I then stamped it again on blue cardstock and cut it out. I colored in a few spots on the sub with a Copic marker and then added Glossy Accents to the windows.

Miss Piggy in Style!

Our Craft Lounge has this cute set called Tres Chic DePorc which was part of the CHA Winter release. I love the leopard print sofa and matching background in this set ~ so funny!

A few days ago, Wendy asked about Sparkly Fluff. I used some Eyeliner Black Sparkly Fluff on the bottom edge of the sofa just above the fringe, (click on the photo for a better view). It's so easy to use & makes your images pop. It is similar to velvet fluff but OCL puts a special glitter in it. If you use regular glitter, it sinks to the bottom. Just apply some liquid adhesive with a Quickie Glue Pen and then sprinkle on the Sparkly Fluff. You just shake off the excess and put it back into the jar for the next time ~ Easy Peasy!

Sparkly Fluff is an exclusive product to Our Craft Lounge and comes in 18 fabulous colors! You can see all of the yummy colors on their website ~ HERE!

I {heart} Summer!

Today I played along on the Lizzie Anne Sketch challenge & used some fun pattern paper I found at my local scrapbook store (Pages in Time Forever) by We R Memories called 72 and Sunny.

For the images, I used the June Monthly Mix called Life is Good . I also added images from the very first Monthly Mix from last August '09 called Hey Sunshine ~ (the sun & the i{heart} summer sentiment).

Have you signed up for the Monthly Mix yet? It's a ton of fun stamping with these images ~ I just love getting my Mix in the mail each month & there are lots of incentives for signing up too ~ like discounts. Click HERE for all of the details about the Monthly Mix program.

Beautiful Pink Blooms

Just thought I would share this simple card with you today that I made with my Fabulous Florals & Say it with Flowers sets (both available at i{heart}papers. I added a bit of Sugar Crafty Sparkles to the center of each flower after coloring them with my Copic Markers (R81, R83, R85). I trimmed the image out with my Nestabilities and then just plopped it on the card base ~ clean and simple, just the way I like it! I really like how the simple black jewels in the corner add the perfect touch to finish it off. I did this same card in tones of yellow a few months ago and liked it so much I just had to make it again.

Thanks to the Teacher!

Today is the last day of school for my kids and wow did that year go fast! I should have been more prepared, but I scrambled and put the rest of the teacher gifts together LAST NIGHT! ACK!!! But I do really like how this gift came out using my Bookworm and School Notes sets, both by Our Craft Lounge.

For the "abc123" background in the School Notes set, I just stamped it over and over in brown in right on the kraft pad and paper. It's the perfect stamp for a background and so easy to line up ~ doesn't look like pattern paper? Then I stamped the main images (Thanks Teacher from Bookworm & the apple from School Notes) on the kraft, I just added a few simple colors using my Copic markers ~ easy peasy.

OH... one more fun piece of news today! I am excited to bring on three new guest designers to the OCL family for the next 3 months. Please join me in welcoming some fresh new faces to the OCL family ~ Julie Okada, Tammy Hershberger & Tami Mayberry. WELCOME!!!!

Supplies from i{heart}papers: Stamps ~ Our Craft Lounge (Bookworm and School Notes) ; Copic Markers ~ (R29, Y15, YG95, RV11, E25); Palette Ink ~ Burnt Umber; Nestabilities Labels One.
