For my card today, I used the Birds & Blossoms 2 stamp set. Want to see how I made my card? Scroll down for the step-by-step instructions.
Step 1: Stamp the floral image in gold pigment ink and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.
Step 2: Select a color palette of Spectrum Aqua Markers. Note: I didn't end up using the Blossom marker as shown on the color chart below.
Step 3: Using Tan and Desert, add ink from the marker to a paint palette and using a water brush to apply ink to the stamped image. I began with Tan and then added Desert. NOTE: I also ended up adding Chocolate ink at the end to darken it up.
Step 4: Add ink from the markers to the ink well on the paint palette.
Step 5: Begin with the darkest color, Marigold, and add color to the center of each flower. Don't worry about being neat... this is watercoloring!
Step 6: Add the next lighter shade, Spice.
Step 7: Add Peach to the edges of each flower petal.
Step 8: Using the Marigold Spectrum Aqua marker, add dots of ink to the center of each flower and then lightly blend with a water brush.
Step 9: For the card base, stamp a larger flower from the stamp set on the top and bottom corners of the card.
Here is a close up of my watercolored image.
