Welcome to day #1 of the Taylored Expressions August Release sneak peeks and I can't wait to share my projects with you this week.
For my first card today, I used the fun new Apple Stacklet & Apple Stems & Seeds Dies to make a very non-traditional looking teacher card.
For my first card today, I used the fun new Apple Stacklet & Apple Stems & Seeds Dies to make a very non-traditional looking teacher card.
I used various coordinating pattern papers from an old October Afternoon collection and trimmed out the various pieces using different patterns. I added a Small Scallop Border on the side and used my zig zag stitch for a bit more texture. The sentiment is from the new Mischief Maker - Back to School set and that was trimmed with the Label It dies. A few bits of twine and buttons finished off my card perfectly.
Next up are some fun treat containers using the Mark Your Spot Bookmark Die. I cut two bookmarks for each container and scored them 2" from the end. Then I simply attached them with adhesive. Treats can be added to a small cello bag and tied to the top with the twine. To decorate the containers, I used the cute little Fox and Rabbit from the new Smarty Pants stamp set and trimmed them with the matching Smarty Pants Dies.
