Halloween Scraps!

My card today, uses various scraps of pattern paper included in the Creative Cafe Kit Best Witches by The Rubber Cafe to highlight this cute Happy Halloween sentiment.

After I prepared the black card base and two layers, I stamped the large and small bat images on the purple card panel with VersaMark ink.  Next, I added a piece of the Halloween Washi Tape across the top of the card and folded the edges around the back of the panel.  Then I cut a strip of the sparkly tulle and tied it around the purple panel.   Once that was finished, I added Kool Tak Foam Tape to the back of the panel and attached it to the card base.

Next, I trimmed 6 different trip pieces of pattern paper (1/4" x 3") and attached them to the purple card panel.

I then stamped the Happy Halloween sentiment (from the add-on wet called Halloween Elements) on the white cardstock and added a piece of the Halloween Washi tape from the kit.

I lined up my oval die and cut the image so the Washi tape was a border for the sentiment.

Next I trimmed green and black layers for the sentiment and attached them to the card with Kool Tak Foam Tape and stamped a bat in Grape Jelly Memento Ink on white cardstock.  I attached the bat with a small piece of the Kool Tak Foam so he would pop off the card.

The last touch was to add a few black Queen & Company gems to each side of the sentiment.

I made 5 cards with my kit supplies and I still have tons of products left ~ pattern paper, cardstock, almost a full roll of Washi tape, 3 packages of gems with just a few gone, and yards of ribbon too!  These kits are such a great value and I can't wait to make some Halloween tags for my kids treats!

Supplies:
Creative Cafe Kit ~ Best Witches + Halloween Elements Add-On Stamp set (includes cardstock, pattern paper, gems, ribbons & trims, Washi tape)
Ink ~ Memento Ink (Tuxedo Black, Grape Jelly); Versamark Ink
Adhesive ~ Kool Tak Foam Tape

Creative Cafe Kit ~ Trick or Treat!

Hi There!  I'm back today with a super fun Halloween card using the new Best Witches Creative Cafe Kit from The Rubber Cafe!

My card today uses images from the Add-On stamp set for the kit called Halloween Elements. The cardstock (green & black), pattern paper, lace trim and all of the stamp images are all part of the Best Witches kit ~ the only things I used that weren't included in the kit were ink, die cuts and adhesive.

I started my card by stamping the gate image across the bottom the card in Memento Black Tuxedo Ink and then stamped the cat on top of the fence.  Since these are clear stamps, it's super easy to line them up.

Next I added two different patterns of paper as a top border and added some lace trim to hide the raw edge of the pattern paper.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment, used a die cut oval to trim it and then cut a mat.  I attached it to the card using Kool Tac Foam Tape and then added Queen & Company black gems (included in kit) to the top and bottom of the sentiment.

EEEK . . . Monster Hugs!

I'm not so sure I'd want a hug from this guy...would you?  Today I have a fun little Halloween card using the Monster Yell digital image from Hambo Stamps.  Isn't he super cute?  The fun sentiment is printed from my computer, the cute ribbon is from American Crafts and the pattern paper is an older Halloween collection from Echo Park.

Hugs to YOU!

Sweet Little Makey Bakey Mice...

Today I have one more card to share from the new collection at Crafter's Companion called the Makey Bakey Mice.    This collection has a fun CD ROM with such cute images and they make super fast and easy cards!   My cards today use the Everyday Collection CD ROM.   I paired the image up with my Petite Dots Embossalicious Folder and Cherry Blossom Embossing Folder.  Super fast and simple because the image is just printed off the computer.  I like to use linen coverstock (65 lb) when printing from my photo printer for a little texture.

Thanks for buzzing by today!

More from the Creative Cafe Kit!

My quickie card for today uses the witch hat from the new Creative Cafe Kit by The Rubber Cafe.  All of the supplies on my card are from the kit (except the ink, adhesive and dies).  I stamped the hat with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and the sentiment with Memento Moracco Ink on the yellow cardstock.  I added a little piece of orange to the black witch hat along with a black gem.

For the background on the orange cardstock, I stamped the small bird image from the Best Witches Add-On set with VersaMark ink.

I used the black seam binding, black gems, pattern paper and 3 colors of cardstock that were all in the kit for my card.

Thanks for flying by today!

New Sheena Collection from Crafter's Companion

I have a pretty sneak peek to share today!  It's the new Sheena Collection from Crafter's Companion called A Little Bit Oriental and it's GORGEOUS!  I used the pretty Cherry Blossom image from the Sakura stamp set.  There will be 4 stamp sets and 4 pretty embossing folders with this release!

First I brayered Angel Pink Memento ink on my cardstock and then stamped my tree image.  After that, I used my Spectrum Noir markers (PP5, DR1, and DR2) and dotted the color on the tree.  As the final step, I added some dots of Stickles to make the card really POP!

Hambo Hop!

Welcome to the "Hambo Time Machine" sponsored by Hambo Stamps!  Today we are bringing you fun creations that include things from the 80's!   Maybe it's from a book, the news, a fashion fad, a song, or pretty much anything else that could be related to that decade.  If you arrived here from Lisa's Blog, you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start back at the beginning at the Hambo blog to make sure you are eligible for the hopper prize!

A prize will be awarded to one participant whose time machine creation tickles the teams fancy!  Then another prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on all of the blogs along the way. The winners will be announced on the Hambo company blog, Talk to the Ham, on Wednesday, September 25, as well as at the Hambo Hoedown challenge blog. We love comments anytime, but the deadline for prize entry comments is Sunday, September 22 at 5 PM CST. Don't miss it!

My creation today uses the digital image called #1 Dog & the sentiment is from Bailey Rocks.  You may wonder what my inspiration was... well think Michael Jackson's silver glove!

I colored my image with my Spectrum Noir Markers ~ TN2, FS3, FS2, GG2, GG3, GG4, GG5, PP4, PP5, CR7, CR10, CR11, GB4, GB6.   The pattern paper is from Pebbles Inc (Seen & Noted) and the ribbon is from May Arts.  My last little tid bit was to add silver glitter on the entire foam finger.

Now swing on over to Judy's Blog for another great trip back to the 80's!  If you get lost along the way, check the Hambo Company Blog for the complete list.

The new collection of Makey Bakey Mice are available today on the website!

For my cute little card, I used the Christmas CD-ROM images.  Just print & add to your card... EASY PEASY!  I just added some ribbon, twine and a jingle bell for a fun touch.

For the inside of each card, I embossed the back panel with an Embossalicious Christmas Folder (Let It Snow & Holiday Holly).  Then using Memento Ink, I added a sentiments from some of our fab Christmas sets (Mistletoe Kisses & Christmas Magic).

Creative Cafe Kits ~ Halloween Lolly-Pops

Hi There ~ I'm here today with a few more projects from the brand new Creative Cafe Kit for September called Best Witches from The Rubber Cafe.

Today I have a fun little Halloween Lolly Pop card using some of the fabulous stamps, papers and accessories that are in the kit.  By the way...everything I used on this card (except ink, adhesive and dies) were from the Best Witches kit!

I started out by making some "lolly-pops" for the card.  First I stamped two circle tags on the orange cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I trimmed them with my circle die cuts ~ which fit perfectly by the way!  For the first lolly-pop, I stamped the witch hat image using Memento Grape Jelly ink on white cardstock and then cut it out.  I added it to the orange circle, cut out a black scallop circle using more dies and then attached it to the straw using my Scrap Happy Glue.  To embellish the witch hat, I cut a small trip of black cardstock for the hat band and then added a pretty orange Goosebump gem.

For the second lolly-pop, I stamped the "best witches" sentiment on the green cardstock and cut it out with a smaller circle die and then added both to the black scallop circle die.  I added a small black flower punch with a purple Goosebump gem.  At the base of each lolly-pop top, I added a small bow made out of the orange sparkly twill that is included in the kit.

I attached the finished lolly-pops to the finished card base using my Scrap Happy Glue.

I used 4 different ribbons and trims on my card (all from the kit) ~ orange seam binding, black lace trim, orange/silver tube ribbon, and the orange sparkly twill.  The bats stamped on the bottom of the card are also from the Best Witches stamp set and I inked them in VersaMark.

Thanks for flying by today!

A GIVEAWAY & Embossing Tutorial

Hi Friends ~ I hope it's a Happy Monday for you!  I'm super excited about sharing my card and tutorial today!  AND... I'M GIVING AWAY AN EMBOSSING FOLDER ~ so read the details at the end of this post.

It's all about EMBOSSING over on the Crafter's Companion Challenge Blog this month.  So I used one of the fabulous Embossalicious Embossing Folders (Lattice) and my Ultimate Crafter's Companion Boards ~ which has about 1,001 uses for all kinds of cards, boxes, bags and bows...

My card uses the gorgeous set from Sheena's collection called Wild Rose & Hibiscus and colored with my Spectrum Noir Markers {BT3, BT4, BT5, CT3, CT4, GB6, CG3, CG4, DG3}.

I thought I'd share some of Crafter's Companions great products in my post today.
The eBosser (along with the cutting plates are shown below).  This machine is SWEET!
Just turn it on and it will feed through automatically.

I placed a piece of white cardstock inside the Lattice Embossalicious Folder and fed it through my eBosser.  It comes with all the plates needed and instructions for the correct "sandwich" recipes on how to stack your plates based on what you're doing (embossing or cutting).

Get it started in the machine and then let go...easy peasy!
AND...the plates are 8 1/2" x 11" so you can use the fabulous 8"x 8" Embossalicious Folders
or the GIANT 8 1/2" x 11" sized embossing folders!

I love this Lattice Embossalicious Folder because
you can get two different looks with the same folder.

Next I used my Ultimate Crafter's Companion Tool with the Ulti-Bags Board.
I pulled out a piece of vellum and then used the embossing tool
that comes with The Ultimate to emboss the triple frame.
Then I trimmed it with my scissors.

By the way ~ there are TONS of different boards available.

Next it was time to make the flowers.
I stamped my images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them
with my Spectrum Noir Markers.

For the leaves, I used CG3, CG4, DG3

First I started with BT4 around the edges of the flower petal.
Then I added BT3 inside and blended the colors together.

I color one petal at a time so the ink is wet and will blend better.

For the inside of the flower, I added CT3, CT4, and GB6

The final step, I added BT5 and starting from the center,
flicked my bullet tip toward the outside edge.

Here are my finished pieces...ready to assemble.

You can also use The Ultimate to score your card bases.

I started assembly wit the leaves.

Then added the flowers with foam dots.

I used a double layer of pretty May Arts Ribbon
(Turquoise Stitched Sheer and Black Gingham)
and wrapped it around my embossed card panel.
Then I added my stamped image & attached the entire panel to the card base.

Once again, here's the finished product!

Whew... that was long, huh?
