CC & Pinspired Challenge Hop

YIPEE!  Today is a fun and exciting day for the Crafter's Companion team.  We are blog hopping along with the Pinspired Team (and sponsoring) their newest Challenge.  If you are coming from Jennifer's blog, WELCOME!  If you want to start from the beginning, I have all the blogs listed below.

We are highlighting Sheena's A Little Bit Floral Collection and I used the Dahlia Set for my sample today along with this fabulous Lattice Embossalicious Folder and my Spectrum Noir Pens.  ( Note: I have a tutorial at the end of this post so you can see how I colored my beautiful flower)

Here's the Pinspired Challenge photo that we used for our projects.

From May 3 - 5, we are showcasing Crafter's Companion stamps from Sheena's A Little Bit Floral collection. You have TWO chances to win! You can hop around and comment on all of the blogs for one chance to win a gift certificate from Crafter's Companion (May 3 - 5, 2013).

For a second chance to win, you can play along!

Using the image above, create a project and post it using InLinkz on the Pinspired Blog. You have until May 9, 2013 to participate for a chance to win a gift certificate from Crafter's Companion.
If you create and comment on the Blog Hop, that is two chances to win!

Here's the list of awesome designers in our hop today:

Annette
Audrey

Now before you hop around to see all the other fabulous creations, I thought I'd share with you how I colored my flower with my Spectrum Noir Pens.

Step 1: I colored the entire flower with my GB1 Spectrum Noir pen.
Step 2: I used the GB3 pen to add some gold highlights to the edges of random flower petals for some darker shadows and then went over the entire flower with GB1 again to soften the darker color.

Step 3: I used the CR7 Spectrum Noir pen to add peach highlights to the edges of each petal.  (Note: work in small sections so the ink stays wet.  You will get a better blend.

Step 4: Use the CR1 Spectrum Noir Pen and color the entire petal for a soft peach look.

Step 5: Use the CR8 & CR11 Spectrum Noir pens to add highlights for the flower center.
Step 6: Use the GT1 Spectrum Noir pen to add the soft turquoise background.

I hope you enjoyed my little "how to" today & have fun seeing all the beautiful creations both teams have come up with for today's hop.  Don't forget to leave some love on each blog and play along on the challenge for TWO chances to win.
