Just a quick share today. This is one of the layouts shared on the Crafter's Corner for QVC. I used the scrapbooking software that sold with the Frou Frou CD-ROM ~ check it out HERE.

Masked Neon Wildflowers
Hi Peeps ~ just a quick pop-in today to say 'hi' and share a card I made with stamps and products from Crafter's Companion. I masked the top and bottom portion of the card and then added the Radiant Neon inks in the open spot. Then I stamped the Overlapping Text image in black ink. I took the mask off to reveal these wonderfully straight lines. Then I stamped the wildflowers and sentiment.
Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Sheena Douglass - Silhouette Wildflowers; Sentimentals: Memories are Made; Stamp-It Australia - Overlapped Text
Radiant Neon Inks - Electric Blue, Green, yellow
Memento Luxe - Tuxedo Black

TE ~ Last Chance for April Stamp Of The Month
WOW! April is almost over and that means that pretty soon the Taylored Expression Key Ingredients Kit, Stamp of the Month (Made with Love) and the coordinating die set (Stitched with Love) will all be gone {links below}.
When I saw this sweet set and matching dies, I knew I wanted to make a button card because I adore those button dies in the set. This one has a bit of a twist. I used the Pockets & Pages 3x4 Photo Frame as the button card and trimmed it out twice to include a navy background for the buttons so they would pop off the card. All of the pretty pattern papers are from the Simple Stories Homespun 6x6 paper pack.
Have a great Monday!!

and the beat goes on...
Today I am continuing with more pages from my daughter's Marching Band book. This time I have pages documenting their State Finals performance from the 2011 Field Show called "Rach, Paper, Scissors". It was an AMAZING show! Here's a YouTube Link to the show, if you'd like to see it. I watched it again last night and it brought back lots of wonderful memories.
Well... that's all I have done for now, but I'll be working on it more in the next few weeks! I'm very motivated to get this year "in the books" because I still have 2 more seasons to scrapbook AND this year both kids will be in marching band... double the fun!

Marching Band Freshman Year Competitions
This week I had some time to get a few pages done on my daughter's Marching Band album. Still working on her freshman year, but it's coming together quickly & I like the results. That's the reason I love Project Life type scrapbooking {or what I call Fast-Scrap} ~ it's tends to be quicker than making all 12x12 traditional layouts. So here's what I came up with for the Regional and Semi-State pages for 2011!
The directors came up with a hilarious challenge for the kids!
{and I see "scissors" is spelled incorrectly, so I need to correct that on the page... LOL}

1 design = 2 looks
For today's cards, I started out stamping the butterflies in both black and white Memento Luxe Inks and couldn't decide which one I liked better... so I decided to make a card from both and just change up the ink colors. The butterflies are from the Time to Dream stamp set by Crafter's Companion. I used the Radiant Neon inks (Electric Yellow, Electric Green and Electric Blue) and added the ink with a sponge dauber (from Yellow to Blue) and then kept adding color to blend them. The sentiment is from The Butterfly Effect stamp set.
For the second card, I used Electric Pink, Electric Purple and Electric Blue Radiant Neon Inks and used the same technique as the first card. Then I used a sentiment from True Colors stamp set.
Thanks for flying by today!

Time to Dream...
Hi Peeps! I had a few minutes to put a card together on Sunday and wanted to use this new charm I found recently at a local scrapbook store. I decided to use the Time to Dream stamp set from Stamp-It Australia collection by Crafter's Companion along with this great embossing folder called A Stitch in Time.
Thanks for buzzing by today!

TE ~ Sweet Flower Dies
Hi Friends! I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend! Today I am highlighting a die set from Taylored Expressions called Flower Box Sprigs and Flowers. The die set includes two different styles of springs and one flower pattern in two sizes (the smaller one pictured below). Scroll down for all of the product links.
I started with a Kraft cardbase and panel and embossed the panel using the Spotted Cutting Plate. Then I trimmed out a circle and added a dark orange scallop frame. The pretty pattern paper behind the circle, is an older pattern from My Minds Eye. Then I took coordinating patterns from the same paper pack and trimmed out the flowers and sprigs so they would all match. The larger flower is from the Bloom Where You're Planted die set. I added some silver rhinestones to the center of each flower and then colored it with an orange alcohol ink marker.
As the final step, I used a sentiments from the Sunshiny Day stamp set, stamped it in Memento Tangelo Ink and trimmed it using one of the dies from the Label It set.
Thanks for buzzing by today!

The ALASKA Project... THE END!
Ahhhh.... Ketchikan, Alaska... One of our very favorite spots! This trip was amazing and every single day was so special ~ but this day {and Juneau} were two of the best. Our little family of 4 did a Zodiac Boat Tour where we had our own little boat and followed a guide. WHAT A BLAST!!! Tim actually captured this photo of the bald eagle catching a fish! HOW AWESOME IS THAT! Now our guide did tell us to watch for it & threw the fish... but Tim did capture it, so it was still pretty impressive!
Like all of the other ports, I included basic facts about Ketchikan for my book.
Tim caught some MAJOR waves as we came closer to the dock... Meg was in pain for a few days! We drove right past our ship... boy, did we look tiny!
We sailed the Inside Passage on the last day of our trip. It was beautiful and a fun day to just enjoy the ship and our extended family.
Well that's it for my Alaska Project! Up next, our cruise to Rome/Turkey/Greece; a few RV trips to the Smokey Mountains & the Outer Banks; and a Spring Break cruise to the Western Caribbean. Not to mention 3 years of Marching Band pictures. I can't even continue listing everything I still need to scrapbook ~ it's just too overwhelming!
I hope you enjoyed my Alaska Project... and now I can say THE END {of this project anyway}.
