WOOOHOOOO... FOOTBALL SEASON!!!!
I am so excited that the NFL reached an agreement and there will be a football season! I know that in the big picture of life, it really isn't life and death or anything, but I simply enjoy the game! I find football exciting and entertaining and it is great family time for us.
My project today uses the fun set from Our Craft Lounge called Football All-Star. I made a ribbon out of the stamped embellishment that I already had made and I love how it turned out. On loose "ribbons" at the bottom, I stamped the background stamp on Kraft cardstock.

IHP Challenge Day ... all for charity
Today the i{heart}paper designers are making projects celebrating favorite not-for-profit organizations. Some of my personal favorites are for the animals ~ pets, wildlife, marine animals, etc.... If it swims, flies or has fur (and is alive) ~ I will probably support it. This is the logo that inspired my project.
And here are some links for some of my favorite animal causes: Elkhart County Humane Society; ASPCA, World Wildlife Fund, San Diego Zoo, Humane Society of the United States, Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.
OK ~ Now I'm finally going to show my projects that were inspired by the logo above. Now I realize it looks more like it went more the circus route, but I really tried to just make it all about the animals.
I used the Our Craft Lounge set called Circus, Circus along with pattern paper from My Minds Eye Alphabet Soup.

YIPEEEEE... it's PDCC week for me!
I am sooooooooooooo excited to be the guest designer this week for the Play Date Cafe. Have you played over there yet? Oh it is so much fun! Each week they come up with a new color story and then you post a link to your project on their blog for a chance to win a prize . This week's color story is below...
The deadline for Challenge #90 of Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at 11:59 pm EST ~ and the prize will be donated by.... OUR CRAFT LOUNGE!!!! WOOHOOOO! Make sure you check out the Play Date Cafe Blog for the great prize we are offering this week!
OK... so my project for today uses a few of my favorite sets ~ Pretty Petals & Say it with Flowers. In addition, I also used one of our background pattern sets called Whispy Patterns to add some texture behind the flower. And finally, after coloring my beautiful images, I added some Fine Red Wine Sparkly Fluff (also by Our Craft Lounge) to the edges of the flower petals and some 24 Kt Gold Sparkly Fluff to the center of the golden yellow button. Sparkly Fluff makes everything POP & comes in 24 fabulous colors! You just apply it with adhesive (liquid is best like a Quicky Glue Pen). Shake it on, it sticks and tap off the excess back into the jar. Easy Peasy and no heat gun necessary.
Now it's your turn to play along ~ I can't wait to see what you come up with! Thanks so much to the PDCC for inviting me to play along this week!

I pulled out this older paper by Imaginsce that I had in my stash because it's so bright. I thought it fit the image perfectly.

Inspired by...
Hi Peeps ~
Yesterday I was searching around blogland and wanted a super simple card for my post today. I found this adorable card by Alice Wertz using the Elegant Birds set by My Cute Stamps and really wanted to CASE it. I used the My Minds Eye hot air balloon pattern paper from the Out of the Blue collection, as the background for the card. Then I stamped the flower directly on the pattern paper. So easy!

OCL Challenge #73...CAS Flowers
Another week is finishing up, but the stamping fun just never stops! This week the OCL challenge is CAS (Clean & Simple) week but you have to include FLOWERS on your project. You have to admit, that's a pretty easy challenge since Our Craft Lounge has so many wonderful flower sets to choose from ~ huh? Here is your inspiration photo to work from...
And this is what I came up with for my challenge project this week. I've been holding on to this great little notebook for at least a year and a half just to use with the Fabulous Florals stamps set. I have picked it up several times, but didn't really know what I wanted to do with it, so I put it back in the drawer {with all the other dollar store/Target trinkets that have been sitting there ... FOREVER!}.
So here's what I did for the Notebook... I stamped the flower image using the Fabulous Florals set in white ink on the yellow cardstock. Then I embossed it with white powder & trimmed it. I tied the black gingham ribbon around the front cover of the notebook and added the flower with a Pop-Up Glue Dot. I used some alphabet stamps to write "Notes" on the journaling oval that was already preprinted on the cover.
For the card, I stamped the same flower in white ink on black cardstock. Scalloped the edge of the card to mimic the edge of the notebook. I stamped the sentiment using the Say it with Flowers set to add.
Now it's your turn to come up with something fun for the challenge. You can see all the details on the OCL Blog.

Hippo Birthday to you...
Here's a fun little birthday card using the OCL set called Circus, Circus. I also used the masking technique to perfectly place the elephant on top of the hippo. Here's how you do it... stamp the elephant on your cardstock & then stamp it again on a Post-it note. Cut the Post-it elephant out with scissors and then place it on top of the one you stamped on the cardstock. Ink and stamp the hippo under the elephant and overlapping it slightly then remove the Post-it. VOILA! It's as easy as that!
I just love this sweet Circus, Circus set ~ it's perfect for so many occasions!
