TE Sneak Peeks Day #1: Bold and Bright Best Wishes!

Happy Monday my crafty friends!  I have a busy week on my blog and can't wait to share all of the fabulous projects I made for the Taylored Expressions March Release!

For my first card, I am featuring the new Best Wishes Script die along with the previously released Happily Ever After stamp set with the brand new coordinating dies.  {links below}  I love the bright and happy colors of this card.

For my next card, I continued with bright and happy colors and drew some inspiration from a card I saw on Pinterest by Jennifer McGuire {one of my favorite cardmarkers}.

I stamped the floral & leaf images from the Happily Ever After set with Memento inks and then trimmed them with the new Happily Ever After die set.  I added the bits of black and the black Best Wishes Script to make everything pop.   I love this new sentiment and will be using it a TON!

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week to answer Taylor's Question of the Day for a chance to win a prize from the latest release.

Gina K - Inspiration Hop Day #1

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs would like to welcome you to another fabulous blog hop celebrating the new stamps from the February Release Party. We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs!

Today, the designers are featuring two new stamp sets ~ Year of Flowers 3 by Melanie Muenchinger and Birds & Blossoms 2 by Theresa Momber. Enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win an awesome grab bag of GKD goodies!!!  To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop.

For my card today, I used the Birds & Blossoms 2 stamp set.  Want to see how I made my card?  Scroll down for the step-by-step instructions.

Step 1: Stamp the floral image in gold pigment ink and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.

Step 2: Select a color palette of Spectrum Aqua Markers.  Note: I didn't end up using the Blossom marker as shown on the color chart below.

Step 3: Using Tan and Desert, add ink from the marker to a paint palette and using a water brush to apply ink to the stamped image.  I began with Tan and then added Desert.  NOTE: I also ended up adding Chocolate ink at the end to darken it up.

Step 4: Add ink from the markers to the ink well on the paint palette.

Step 5: Begin with the darkest color, Marigold, and add color to the center of each flower.  Don't worry about being neat... this is watercoloring!

Step 6: Add the next lighter shade, Spice.

Step 7: Add Peach to the edges of each flower petal.
Step 8: Using the Marigold Spectrum Aqua marker, add dots of ink to the center of each flower and then lightly blend with a water brush.

Step 9: For the card base, stamp a larger flower from the stamp set on the top and bottom corners of the card.

Here is a close up of my watercolored image.

Taylored Expressions: Daughter of the King

Hi Friends!  Some days we need some encouragement and this card fit perfectly.  A friend shared this picture on Facebook so I printed it and made this card.  It was for my daughter last time she left to go back to college.  I tucked it into her bag so she would find it when she unpacked.  Just a little reminder of how awesome she is & even when things are hard, we still have our Lord and Savior on our side.

The beautiful supplies are from Taylored Expressions {linked below}.

Here's the inside of the card...

Have a BLESSED weekend!

TE Easter Basket!

Hello My Friends!  Wow ~ what a busy week I am having already and it's only Tuesday!  Today I wanted to share this sweet little Easter basket with you that I made using some awesome products from Taylored Expressions!

Easter is super early this year, so I made this fun little Easter Basket using the stamp set called Egg-stra Special along with the absolutely fabulous Stitched Scallop Edger die!  Such a fun way to dress up the top of the box and the handle.  {links below}

Here's a better view of how I used the Stitched Scallop Edger Die.  It is open on both ends and the bottom so you can place it anywhere on the cardstock or line it up over and over to make beautiful edges.

Have an Egg-Stra Special Day!
