Happy Birthday Cowboy!

As we approach the end of another month, I wanted to sneak one more project in with my July Diners set by Gourmet Rubber Stamps called Old Fashioned Fun.  The cowboy images are also available in a custom set over at i{heart}papers called Cowboy.  This time I also used one of the sentiments from the Giddyup Girl stamp set and I added the Burlap Coveralls background stamp to the bottom of the gift box and on the tag.  Everything was stamped with Tsukineko's Memento Inks.

Here's the tag up close...

Now you'll want to come on back the rest of this week because I have lots of new release projects for you to see from both Our Craft Lounge and Gourmet Rubber Stamps.  I am so excited because I have my very own stamp set being released tomorrow ~ WOOHOOO!!!!

GRS Weekly Recipe #41

Welcome to FRIDAY and the latest Weekly Recipe sketch for Gourmet Rubber Stamps!  Here it is!

My project for this sketch uses the new Appetizer set called True Colors.  In addition to the box of crayons from that set, I used a few other singles that coordinate as well ~ the Crayon Single and the Life & Crayons Single.  They all work perfectly together.  I also used the line image stamp from the other new Appetizer set called Noteworthy ~ talk about a useful image!!!

I cut one of the crayons out of the box and used the Crayon single so it would look like it wrote the word "congrats".  I used some Hero Arts alphabet stamps & stamped the letters in each color of the crayons.  Too fun!

Now it's your turn to play along with the sketch!  Make sure you add your link here or on the Gourmet Rubber Stamps Facebook Page.

Supplies from i{heart}papers:
Stamps: Gourmet Rubber Stamps (
True Colors & Noteworthy)
Ink: Copics & Memento
Nestabilities by Spellbinders
Embossing Plate: Lifestyle Crafts

GRS DT Challenge Day!

Bonjour!  Today it's time for another fun challenge from the Gourmet Rubber Stamps Designers.  This month we were asked to make a project based on a decorative item in our own home.  So this weekend I wandered around the house trying to decide what in the world to pick and find a stamp that coordinated as well.  At one point, I looked up on the plant shelf above our front door and saw these fake book storage boxes and the Paris one caught my eye.  I found my inspiration piece ~ YIPEEE!

So the set I decided to use is called Bonjour by Gourmet Rubber Stamps, the pattern paper is from My Minds Eye (Lost & Found Collection) and the black in is Tuxedo Black by Memento ~ I think you'll see why I picked this cool set!

OK...now you've got to see the fun projects the rest of the girls have come up with for this challenge...
ENJOY!!!

Noteworthy Notes...

Happy Monday!   Did you see my post yesterday for the new Gourmet Rubber Stamps Appetizer Release?  Well I showed you a cool card using the True Colors set and now I have a card using the other new set called Noteworthy.  I used the large lined image stamp on the notebook paper and stamped it in a light ink. Then I stamped the flowers from the last diners set (Old Fashioned Fun) at the bottom and the "Notes" sentiment also from the Noteworthy set.  To make the flower two colors, I used my water based markers (don't use Copics) and colored the ink directly on the stamp.

For the background of the card panels, I used the same flower that I stamped on the notebook paper but stamped it tone-on-tone with kraft ink.  On the smaller card panel, I used the new Burlap Coveralls and stamped that tone-on-tone as well.  The last touch is a bit of silk ribbon from May Arts with a button and twine.

I love all the details on this card!  See you back here tomorrow with another fun creation!

Appetizer Release Day!

WOOHOOO!  I love the 15th of the month because it's release day for the new Gourmet Rubber Stamps Appetizer sets.  I am super excited about the sets this month too!  The first set being released is called True Colors and it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO fun!!   Here's a card I made with this set &; I also added the Paint Splatter single as the background ~ super cool huh?

First I stamped the paint splatter background in several colors of Memento Ink by Tsukineko.  After that, I stamped the sentiment and paintbox in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then I colored the paint box with Copic markers (2 to 3 colors for each round).  I can't believe I made a card with no ribbon, buttons, brads or embellishments...but, it doesn't really need anything else.  These sets will also be available at i{heart}papers soon!

The second set being released today is called Noteworthy & I'll have a fun sample to show you with that set tomorrow.

In the meantime, I know you'll want to check out what the other girls have done with these great sets starting on the GRS blog or website.

OCL Challenge #125

TGIF Peeps!  It's a FANTASTIC Friday and that means it's time for the Friday OCL Challenge!  WOOHOOO!  Today it's all about TAGS!  Either tags on your projects for just a tag ~ whatever you want.

I made two tags today ~ the first uses the Years Gone By stamp set ~ I really love this set and I had this great October Afternoon Thrift Shoppe paper in my stash and thought the sewing patterns would be great with this set along with the fun May Arts trims.

My second tag uses the set called You Make Me Happy.  If you can believe it, I actually haven't pulled this set out ~ EVER!  I used a touch of October Afternoon paper and then a few trims from May Arts.

So now it's your turn to play along.  Just leave your link on the OCL Blog!  HAVE FUN!

Summer Treats!

How's about some treats ~ sweets?  Hey Peeps!  Welcome to Thursday!!!!  This week has flown by and I've been creating like CRAZY!!!  SIXTEEN projects in 3 days... and I cleaned out 4 sizes of clothes in my closet too!  WOOHOOO!

One of the project I made yesterday is this super sweet birthday card using the Sweets & Treats stamp set by Gourmet Rubber Stamps.  It's one of the older Lizzie Anne Designs sets & it's a great "building" set because you can build different popsicles and ice cream cones.  I used some great paper from My Mind's Eye for this card too called On the Sunny Side ~ I LOVE THIS PAPER!!!

I added a few little tags to the bottom of the ribbon with other words in the set ~ "enjoy" and "treat".  This was a fun card to make!

Thanks for popping in today and stop back tomorrow for a new challenge day!

The Big 4-0!!

Good Morning!!!

I've been such a busy girl over the last few days with the house all to myself!  I've gotten about a dozen projects finished and it's been so fun to get back into the groove of stamping.  I felt like I was in a bit of a slump, so this feels so good!

I wanted to make a card to pair up both the Squared Sentiment Appetizer set along with the Birthday  Squared Coveralls Background stamp by Gourmet Rubber Stamps.  I also threw in the sentiment from Cupcakes and Candles

Supplies from i{heart}papers:
Stamps ~ Gourmet Rubber Stamps (Squared Sentiment Appetizer , Cupcakes and Candles
Ink ~ Tsukineko Versamark Dazzle, Momento Desert Sand Dew Drop.
Ribbon ~ May Arts

Have a great day...I'm off to create more fun stuff!

Enjoy Each Day...

Hey There & Happy Tuesday!!!  Yes, I'm here 2 days in a row ~ can you believe it???   I  have TONS of new stamps to use and 3 whole days with the house to myself so I'm trying to get lots and lots of projects done & hope to have many things to share in the next few weeks.

Today, my project doesn't use a new stamp set, but one I have used many times called Pretty Petals by Our Craft Lounge.  It's also one that I LOVE using!  Yesterday as I was coming up with some ideas, I noticed this flower that I stamped and cut out a while ago and it was sitting next to this fun little journaling card by October Afternoon's Sidewalk Chalk collection.  So I decided to pair them up.  I was really looking for a stamp that said, "I love you more EVERYDAY" or something like that, but I just couldn't find one with exactly the right sentiment.  I did find this "Enjoy Your Day" sentiment from the Big Birthday Wishes set & this card will be great for an upcoming birthday.

I added more bits of paper from the same Sidewalk Chalk collection & I love the mix and match feel of the card.

Have a great Tuesday!

GRS Weekly Recipe

Hi Everyone!  Well it was a hot weekend here in Northern Indiana and we were out in the 100+ degree temps all day on Saturday ~ UGH!  I'm not sure I've EVER been that hot and miserable!  But Sunday turned into a gorgeous day and the temps are back into the "chilly" mid-80's ~ LOL!

Well I've got lots of time to stamp this week because my son is at Boy Scout Camp, my daughter is on a mission trip with the church youth group in Haiti and my husband left for a business trip.  With everyone away, I'm determined to get a lot of stamping done and my closet cleaned out!!!  I'm really hoping for some mojo this week!!!!

So on Friday, I had a chance to play and decided to pull up the Weekly Recipe sketch from the GRS Blog to see what I could come up with using my new Kingpin set by Gourmet Rubber Stamps.  I love this fun retro set!!!

Along with the Kingpin set, I pulled out the positively perfect Echo Park paper pack called Happy Days ~ what could be better with this set?!?  To ink up the bowling pins, I used Momento's London Fog Dew Drop by Tsukineko then removed the color off the center stripe and colored it with a red water based marker (don't use a Copic for this).   I also used the Momento colors Lady Bug and Tuxedo Black Dew Drops by Tsukineko for the other stamping.  I love the Dew Drop pads because you can get right into the spots you need.

Have a great Monday and lets hope I get LOTS done to share with you this week!

OCL Challenge #124...Die Cuts!

It's challenge day!  Yes, it's Friday and another new challenge from Our Craft Lounge is upon us!  Today we are using die cuts on our projects.  I know you probably use the great steel dies like Spellbinders or Quickuts shapes on most of your cards ~ but maybe try and dig out some of the dies you may not use very often or some fun shapes...

For my card today, I used a sentiment from the Spring Sketches stamp set along with Vintage Swirls for the background.  There isn't a ton of stamping, but what I did stamp add the perfect touches to my card.  For my die cuts, I did pull out my Spellbinders ovals; however, I also used a scallop edge for the cork border and some pattern paper from My Mind's Eye to die cut the butterflies for the finishing touches.  I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Now it's your turn to play along ~ just visit the OCL Blog to see all the details.

Sketch Time with GRS...

I had a few minutes yesterday to play with my new Thanks Squared Coveralls background stamp for this week's Gourmet Rubber Stamps sketch.  I also pulled out one of my favorite sets called Garden Inspirations.  Since it was the 4th of July, I decided to go with the red/white/blue theme and throw in a little kraft ~ because everything goes with kraft!

If you'd like to play along on the GRS Weekly Recipe (sketch challenge) ~ check out the GRS Blog each Friday for a new sketch.

Roma, Itali ~ Part 2

I'm back with part 2 of our days in Rome!  Oh...how I love this city ~ I can't wait to go back.  Here a few of the many photos we took.

G-Ma and Matt waiting to get into the Vatican on Friday morning.  We had a 10am reservation for the tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel.  We were so happy glad we didn't have to wait in the VERY LONG line to go inside.  That boy sure loves his G-Ma!

Walking around the streets of Rome

We had a FABULOUS dinner at Tre Scalini at Piazza Novona.
This area of the city was one of our favorites.

Uncle Shawn, G-Pa, G-Ma, and Uncle Richard

Uncle Shawn just loves Megan & Matt ~ they are quite the trio!

We all tossed a coin over our shoulder into the lovely Trevi Fountain with wishes
to return to this beautiful city!

Just outside our hotel, there was a wonderful market that opened each morning called Campo dei Fiori.
The smells of the fruits, vegetables, spices and other foods was wonderful!  By late afternoon, the market was taken down and the area was cleaned up for a busy evening at the restaurants on the Piazza.  This was one of our favorite places to walk around each morning.

After lunch on the Piazza near our hotel, it was time to pack up and get ready for our trip down to Civitavecchia (90 minutes southwest of Rome).  Megan struck a pose as we waited to load the van.

Civitavecchia is the port city for Royal Caribbean ships ~ that is the next leg of our big European Adventure & I'll be back another day with those photos.
